- A police officer is shot dead just outside the airport after a routine traffic violation. But Lindholm seems to recognize the shooter in the blurry security video. The investigation just gathers steam when shadowy government figures intervene and tell Lindholm to cease investigating. Naturally she doesn't.
- Lindholm is called in from some days off at home to assist in the investigation of a series of killings by a sniper. Are they random? The local detective in charge is an arrogant hothead. Lindholm nevertheless puts the clues gradually together and they lead to a series of unexpected finds.
- Lindholm leaves somewhere where she has just given a well-received presentation. She leaves in a borrowed car and appears sleepy at the wheel. Her GPS seems to be losing signal in the back end of nowhere when someone steps out in front of her car and she swerves and hits a tree. Then things get weird for a bit as if she's delirious. She finds herself in a small town where mysterious doings are a foot. Soon there's murder. And then another body turns up!
- A 13 year old girl is found murdered body dumped. Bukow has just been transferred and put in charge of König and her team to investigate. Bukow is in charge but König has also been assigned to investigate him, but it's unclear exactly why. A complex case soon unfolds.
- An apparently homeless man disturbs a family at a food court. The husband follows the man into the woods and is killed...by a landmine! Meanwhile König is called away from her desk, leaving her computer unlocked and someone steals her files. And then a friend of Bukow is found drowned. The game's afoot!
- A bank robbery is committed by masked perpetrators. Fosca realizes that a homeless man who witnessed the events may know something that will give her the clue to break the case. But the smell of an odd smoke on the body of one dead suspect provides a second vital clue. Perhaps the robbery was a fake?
- Lindholm is called in when a female doctor is found dead in a fire. The doctor's video diary is found providing a possible lead. Also, a disturbed teenage boy is seen near the fire, and Lindholm takes a personal interest. The doctor also was known to Lindholm's boss at the LKA, providing more complexity to the investigation.
- A disturbed zookeeper takes an animal hostage over a dispute with her co-worker/ boyfriend, who who turns out to be an ex of Sophie Haas. Her old boss calls her in to assist, reluctantly. More turns out to be going on as Sophie soon discovers.
- König keeps passing an abandoned car on the way to work, so she has it towed to the scrapyard where a corpse is found in the trunk. The deceased may have been a blackmailer. Bukow presses König as to when her investigation of him will be over.
- Lindholm goes to see a soccer game with her young son. After the game she gets one of the stars to autograph a soccer ball for the boy. Later that night she receives a phone call. The body at the murder scene is none other than that same player. As she sets out to solving the case a number of suspects emerge including a shadowy person posting threats online.
- Lindholm drops her son off, and then wrecks her car in a creepy town. She calls a tow truck, meanwhile one man stops to ask if she needs help. She says no, and sees the man park at a nearby house. Suddenly the man's car explodes in flames. The local detectives are only too happy to have the LKA cop there, and put her in charge. It soon develops that the victim may have led a double life.
- It's supposed to be farewell to Sophie as she's headed back to Cologne to work there, but she's called to the hospital as her father is ill. Meanwhile there's a murder back in the Eifel which Bärbel and Dietmar start to investigate without inspiring much confidence.
- Sophie gets pinched for driving over the limit DWI, and Dietmar becomes acting Kommissar while she's on desk duty, and naturally a corpse turns up and Dietmar must lead the investigation. Meanwhile Sophie finds out about her father's new love.
- In a rare continuation of a previous episode, Lindholm continues to investigate the murder/human trafficking corruption investigation with the help of a local homicide detective and her journalist friend. Seemingly making progress, she makes an error that puts her life in danger.
- The chauffeur of a rich sausage entrepreneur seems to be shot by accident.
- Two detectives investigate a mysterious murder.
- First episode of an offbeat wry comedy about a weather channel. A former top news anchor who's been inactive while in rehab has now dried out but must accept a position at the weather channel; the cranky director offers an intern a chance for a permanent position if he can accomplish a near-impossible task. The director's daughter who is a producer has unlikely on-screen ambitions.
- Calligaris is shot and gravely wounded just outside the Institute, witnessed by Alicia. While his life hangs in the balance, and the director's successor has yet to be announced, Cordelia receives a medical scare. Alicia takes a dangerous step investigating the shooting, but makes an important discovery.
