- An award-winning crime thriller spanning over 52 episodes. The Evangelists were a prolific gang of thieves that, ten years before the opening of our story, had made a reputation for themselves in the local criminal underworld, and amassed a fortune stealing religious artifacts from various churches which they then resold on the international black market. During their last job, a police officer was killed and Massimo, the leader of the gang was wounded and captured, while the remaining three members vanished with the loot. Refusing to betray the identity of his accomplices or the location of the loot, Massimo takes the fall and ends up serving a ten-year prison term. The story of the Evangelists and the legend of their hidden treasure serves as a quasi-mythical backdrop for the setting and development of our story.
- Miraklu is a mini-series that tells the story of Joe 'il-Paps' Bonavia, father of five who returns from prison to a life in ruins - penniless, jobless, with four young mouths to feed and facing eviction. He looks for help from his brother, the parish priest - Father Randolf - who in turn introduces him to Princess a young immigrant in need of a job and a place to stay. From the outset, the relationship is off to a bad start due to Paps's racist beliefs and Princess's feisty temperament. Meanwhile, Paps decides he needs a radical plan if he is to get his life back on track. What he needs is nothing short of a miracle. In spite of their mutual dislike, Paps and Princess soon discover they desperately need one another if they are to pull out from a rapidly deteriorating series of events ignited by Paps's master plan.
- Nighttime at the Station is a poetry film which was inspired by the work of one of Malta's leading poets, Oliver Friggieri. In his poem 'Il-Lejl f'Dan l-Istazzjon' he depicts a voyager arriving late at the station and watching the last train fade into blackness. Mallia uses this narrative to build on a metaphoric level, and explores the themes of childhood, nostalgia and meaning.
