- Busy and Amanda are listening to a sex talk radio show and start discussing their experiences. Amanda goes to Busy's house and has an embarrassing encounter. Later that night, Amanda begins to worry that she is overly preoccupied with sex. Busy tries to get Amanda to help her solve a sexy mystery but Amanda is worried about seeming perverted. Ultimately the girls realize that they're curiosity is perfectly normal.
- Troy writes a poem for Busy. With some prodding from his friends, Troy asks her to go out with him on a bowling date. Amanda helps Busy to get ready for her date with some disastrous results. Busy's brothers seem to find out about the date and try to give her some well intentioned advice. Meanwhile, Troy has his own struggles getting ready. Busy doesn't want her father to know that she's going out so Amanda does her best to distract Mr. Ramone while Busy sneaks out with Troy. With Troy's father as the chaperone for their date, Troy and Busy start bowling with a bit of awkwardness. Busy decides to change out of her "date clothes" and into her regular clothes and begins to have more fun on the date. Troy's ego takes a hit during the date and it ends on a pretty low note. Busy and Amanda rehash the date at Amanda's house and Troy shows up to apologize for his behavior.
- The Ramone household is buzzing with the anticipation of Manny's wedding. Busy feels the stress of not only having to conform to certain feminine ideals but to also find a date so that she doesn't stand out.
- Busy finds herself attracted to her male friend, Jaime. She tries to get out of the "friend zone" with him, but things get awkward.
- Busy's drum playing is annoying everyone in her family. She moves her practicing to school and meets an older boy, Peter. They bond over music and he asks her to play drums for him. Peter starts showing signs of having anger management issues. When Busy is over at Peter's house, she sees that Peter gets his temper from his father and later sees the aftermath of his angry outburst. Busy chooses to tell the school councilor about what she saw.
- When Amanda finds out that Busy's uncle is a magazine publisher she tries to get him to notice her poetry. Meanwhile, Busy finds herself consumed with writing a new song for her band. Soon, the girls begin to see that their interests are so different that maybe they aren't meant to be best friends.
- Amanda and Busy switch lives.
- Busy and Amanda find themselves vying for the same spot in a commercial with figure skater Kurt Browning.
- Amanda has a crush and tries to hide it from Busy. When Amanda receives mixed signals she starts to think that her crush has developed into a full blown relationship. With Amanda's head in the clouds, Busy feels ignored and starts giving Amanda the cold shoulder.
- Busy's band is getting ready to compete for a position in a showcase. Meanwhile, Busy's family is getting their home ready for a big upcoming family reunion. Conflict occurs when Busy's band showcase happens on the same day as her family reunion.
- Busy thinks about trying out for the basketball team. Troy has a girl for a lab partner, who is also black, and Busy starts to feel insecure about her relationship with Troy. Things get tense when Eve, Troy's lab partner, starts to compete with Busy for Troy's attention. The girls begin to bicker after a game a fling racial slurs at each other. Eve gets the upper hand by telling Troy about Busy being racist. Busy gets ousted from the team but ultimately decides to participate in the next game. Eve admits to saying racially insensitive things about Busy in front of Troy. Eve and Busy try to realize that their issue is less about race and more about fighting over a boy.
