Tania Ruth Greene, 62, of Lincoln, NE passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023. She lived fully as a truly authentic, kind, intuitive and intelligent person.
The family moved much throughout her childhood - to Phoenix, Albuquerque, Sweden - finally settling in Hastings, NE. In the late 1980's Tania moved to Lincoln to start a business as a manicurist. Here she fine-tuned her exemplary listening skills. Tania's many professions had "design" as a commonality - graphic arts, manicuring, floral design, filmmaking, etc. She fully embraced being a college student, ending up with 3 B.A.'s (Art, Fine Art, Film and New Media Studies). Tania belonged to Mensa, a group for persons with gifted IQs.
In 1992, Tania met Todd, her soul mate. They married in 1999. In 2004 Tania was thrilled to be the lead make-up artist for the full-length film, Almost Normal. More recently, Tania fully enjoyed doing make up and costumes at the Lied Center for shows such as Jagged Little Pill and Hamilton. In the last 5 years, Tania thoroughly loved her full-time position, and those she served, at Live Yes Studios. She put her whole heart and soul into these endeavors.
Tania never met an animal that she did not like, and who did not like her. She doted on many pets throughout her life. Her soul had a life-renewing and life-enhancing quality that many were naturally drawn to. Tania also made long-lasting friendships wherever she worked or lived. She returned to Sweden several times to visit persons she had befriended years before. Her many friends loved her genuineness, compassion, listening skills, intuition, sense of humor, honesty, and infectious laugh.
A non-materialist, Tania preferred to consult her intuition and/or God's guidance on her paths in life. She respected, and enjoyed connecting with, persons from all walks of life. Tania celebrated uniqueness and inherent worth in herself and others. She would wish for her life, and other's lives, to be celebrated. Tania Greene brought out the best in people. She was loved by all of her friends and family.
Tania was killed in a car accident on a stretch of Highway 2 north of Palmyra, Nebraska. Hers was the latest in a string of deaths in that same intersection in a number of years. The town of Palmyra and the Nebraska Department of Transportation both worked together after Tania's death to reduce the speed limit from 70 mph to 55mph, and are reviewing other measures to secure the safety not only of the intersection of where Tania died, but of the two-mile stretch of highway connected to that same intersection.- Muff Graham was born on 18 December 1931 in Pueblo, Colorado, USA.
