Les Kaluza was born in Poland and emigrated to the USA in 1960; he, and his wife - Erna, b. in Vienna, Austria - worked in the animation and layout departments for Paramount Studios in New York, as well as Hanna-Barbera, Filmation and Calico in Los Angeles. Later they supervised the production of animated series and specials in Europe for Hanna-Barbera and in Asia for Calico, Saban Entertainment and Nickelodeon. Shows worked on at Paramount: Popeye The Sailor, Casper The Friendly Ghost, Beetle Bailey, Snuffy Smith and others.
