By the time Sixten was 9 years old, his brother Sven had got a accordion and when Sven wasn't around, Sixten used to play on it behind his brother's back. Soon he got his own accordion and started playing in school with it, he was an excellent music student and by the time he was 15, he started playing and local dance clubs. Sixten spent many years playing music and taking care of his family, and in 1953, they welcomed their second son Ingvar. When Sixten's sons grow up, he spent much time with them doing sports like ice hockey, skiing and running. His wife Elsy became a home wife but was impressed of their energy for so many things. Sixten got together his own orchestral around 1960 till 1972. Suddenly things changed in Sixten's life, he divorced his long time wife Elsy on May 29, 1974 and left his family. He continued playing music but got sick in 1976 and had to stop working. Although he got sick, he played more and more music than ever and played in different bands and played a lot of folk music. On the day of his death, August 9 in 1986, he played a concert and fell down on the stage with the accordion in his hands in front of his oldest son Kjell. He died on August 9, 1986 at age 60.
