Jeff Gordon was born in 1971 in Vallejo, California, just miles away from the Speedway in Sonoma. He started racing with Go-Carts and Sprint Cars and worked his way up to the NASCAR's Busch Series and then landed a few races in 1992. Gordon's first NASCAR race came when NASCAR Legend Richard Petty was going through his last. Gordon learned quickly and won his first NASCAR Championship in 1995, barely beating out Dale Earnhardt in the Points Standings. Since his Debut in 1992, Gordon has won 3 NASCAR Championships and 55 Races, clearly shooting past Lee Petty and Rusty Wallace in the All-Time Wins Category. Jeff Gordon is seen as one of NASCAR's best and brightest young stars.
In 2005, Gordon suffered his worst season since his rookie year in 1993. Gordon missed out for the Chase for the Nextel Cup, and finishes 11th in points, and finishing outside the top 10 in points since he finished 14th in his rookie year of 1993. Jeff did win 4 races this year. Those races were Daytona, Martinsville, Talladega, and the other Martinsville race. No one saw Gordon's bad season coming, after winning his 3rd Daytona 500, and winning 3 of the first 9 races of the season. After the 3rd win at Talladega, he went 16 races without a top 5 finish, a very uncharacteristic Gordon. Gordon had a crew chief swap when the 10 race Chase began, when Robbie Loomis left the team, and 26 year old Steve Letarte took over. Jeff did manage to get back on track somewhat, and won at Martinsville later in the year, and finished 2nd, 14th, and 9th in the 3 last 3 races following the long overdue visit to victory lane. Jeff at the end of 2005 has a total of 70 career wins.In 2004, Jeff Gordon finished 3rd place in NASCAR Nextel Cup points, behind Kurt Busch, and teammate Jimmie Johnson. Jeff racked up 5 wins that season, bringing his career total to 66. Those 5 wins were at Talladega, California, Martinsville, Daytona, and the other Martinsvile race. In 2003, he became the first driver in Winston Cup history to host Saturday Night Live.
At the end of the 2002 racing season, Jeff ended up in 4th place in the NASCAR Winston Cup points standings. In 2002, Jeff and teammate Jimmie Johnson competed and won in the Race of Champions in Grand Canaria, Spain. In 2001, he became the first driver to win at Kansas Speedway and he won it again in 2002 becoming the only driver to win at Kansas. At the end of the 2002 racing season, Jeff has racked up 61 Winston Cup races. His 3 wins in 2002 were at Bristol, Darlington, and Kansas. He also had 3 poles. As of 2003, Jeff continues to co-own the # 48 race team of Jimmie Johnson. Has won 4 Winston Cup Championships: 1995, 1997, 1998, and 2001 becoming the youngest driver to win than many. With his first championship in 1995, Jeff became the youngest driver at the age of 24 to win a Winston Cup title.
In 1998, he tied a record by winning 13 races in a same season and by winning 4 races in a row. Won 2 Daytona 500s in 1997 and 1999. Became the youngest driver to win the Daytona 500. Won 3 Brickyard 400s including the inaugural one in 1994 and his second one in 1998 and his 3rd one in 2001 making him the first driver to win it more than twice.- Chuck Hamilton was born on 9 December 1903 in Vallejo, California, USA. He was an actor, known for Captain Midnight (1942), Valley of the Zombies (1946) and The Shadow (1940). He died on 24 December 1978 in Vallejo, California, USA.

The spectacular bone-headed play gave the one-strike-away-from-losing New York Mets new life, and they went on to win Game 6 and the World Series in seven games. Buckner's unbelievable play prolonged the "Curse of the Bambino" that had plagued the Nation for 66 years, after Babe Ruth had been sold by Red Sox owner Harry Frazee to the New York Yankees. The following year, the Sporting News' annual baseball supplement featured a cover photo of Buckner's miscue with the headline, "Can Anyone Doubt the Red Sox Hex"? The Nation took it so hard that a retired Buckner was forced to move out of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as his children were being harassed by young Red Sox fans.

Her great-grandfather on her mother's side was Hungarian-born Agoston Haraszthy, dubbed the father of Californian viticulture. Leggy, olive-complexioned Natalia Ringstrom grew up and was educated in the San Francisco Bay area. Little is known of her early years, except that she was trained in traditional Spanish dance (including La Jota, the folk dance of Aragon), and, while still in her early teens, travelled the short distance to San Francisco to perform in cabaret. She was spotted there as a blossoming talent by the renowned ballroom dancers Fanchon and Marco, eventually joining their revue on tour. Next stop: Broadway. Now billed as Natalie Kingston, she was featured as one of the chorines of the 1920 "Brevities" at the Winter Garden Theatre. There was to be no career on the stage, however, since Natalie returned to California, soon to becoming a Mack Sennett Bathing Beauty.
Natalie joined Sennett's Keystone 'Fun Factory' sometime in 1923. Over the next three years, the soulful-eyed brunette worked her way steadily up the cast list, from ornamental bit parts and walk-ons to fifth billing(Romeo and Juliet (1924)); fourth (Wall Street Blues (1924)); third (Galloping Bungalows (1924)); to finally co-starring with comic greats Harry Langdon, Billy Bevan and Ben Turpin in a series of classic two-reel farces, including Remember When? (1925) and His First Flame (1927) (as a gold digger). When Natalie eventually left Sennett for Paramount, she had every intention of finding 'serious' dramatic work. Instead, the studio continued to use her as a bankable comedy asset in three back-to-back six-reel features: Wet Paint (1926), Miss Brewster's Millions (1926) and The Cat's Pajamas (1926), all palpable box-office hits. In between flappers and 'nice girls', Natalie also had a turn as a vamp in Eddie Cantor's Kid Boots (1926). Her first dramatic role finally arrived as second lead in Ronald Colman's The Night of Love (1927). By this time, her status had grown by virtue of being selected a WAMPAS Baby Star by the Western Association of Motion Picture Advertisers (an event for actresses deemed to have potential, usually accompanied by substantial media coverage). Now under contract at First National, Natalie was given full star billing for her role as a Russian sculptress in the military burlesque Lost at the Front (1927).
The following year, she came to the fore as girl castaway Mary Trevor in Tarzan the Mighty (1928). The film generated sufficient revenue for Universal to warrant an immediate sequel, Tarzan the Tiger (1929), in which Natalie continued on as the heroine (albeit now as the screen's fifth 'Jane'). From then, it was pretty much all downhill. With the advent of talking pictures, Natalie became one of many silent stars and starlets who, for one reason or another, failed to make the transition. There were a few supporting roles in B-graders with prophetic titles like Forgotten (1933). Her final credited effort was an incongruously cast romantic comedy, His Private Secretary (1933), starring a very young John Wayne. After that, Miss Kingston faded from the scene and back into obscurity. - Heidi Jeanne Rau was born in Vallejo, California, to Lynn, an IT technician, and Kirk Rau, a dental technician and driving instructor.
