- Viktor Gvozditsky was born on 30 September 1952 in Kropotkin, Krasnodar Krai, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia]. He was an actor, known for Zakat (1990), Letnie lyudi (1995) and Igra v shindai (2007). He died on 21 May 2007 in Moscow, Russia.
- He was one of the great Iranian painters and one of the pioneers of Iranian modern painting. He was specially interested in a traditional school of painting called "coffee-house painting" and aimed to revive it through blending with modern ideas. He left Iran after 1979 revolution and stayed for some years in US. In 1989 he was invited to USSR and then resided in Armenia till his death.
