I would have never expected to see Dr. John A. Zoidberg in a Looney Tunes cartoon: This is also the only Looney Tunes short ever directed by Rich Moore, better known for the Disney movies Wreck-It Ralph and Zootopia, but who also worked in shows like The Simpsons, The Critic, and of course, Futurama.
Which might be the reason of plenty of the black comedy gags used here, feeling almost like a Futurama episode mixed with the Duck Dodgers show from the year 2003, a combination which surprisingly works very well here.
A shame the poor perfomance at the box office from Looney Tunes: Back in Action didn't allow more shorts like this one being made.
