If I was to rate this show after the first 3 seasons alone then it would be somewhere between a 9 and a 10. Unfortunately I feel like everything started to go downhill after season 3 aside for a couple of episodes like the Vat of Acid and Rickmurai Jack for example. The writers are running out of ideas which was bound to happen really and this happens often with shows like this. The thing I liked about the earlier seasons was the originality and the fact you actually cared about the characters. The episodes formed a storyline with crazy plot twists and usually the next episode started where the previous one left off, so it actually made sense to watch it chronologically. Unfortunately, in the new seasons most episodes are filler. A lot of the jokes are lazy, repetitive and unfunny. The story of each episode is usually over the top and not very interesting and there are so many over the top abilities Rick/Morty pull out of nowhere without explanation to the point where ti goes right over your head and you stop caring or fearing for the characters. The actions of some of the family members are sometimes just completely off, including Rick's and all the side character's that were in quite a large part of the first 3 seasons (all the people from the school for example) are nowhere to be seen.
