A Gem of a Show for Early Daytime Indian Soap Operas. A must-watch!
18 April 2022
IPKKND is one of those shows that sticks out among the rest, despite the classic enemies-to-lovers trope, and that's because of the great writing of this show. Even though this show checks the boxes for a lot of clichés like the brooding, mysterious, unemotional CEO male lead and the complete opposite female lead who is all sunshine and kindness, the creators of the show have this unique way of making them shine in their own special way. Not only do the writers make you care about the intricately written main characters, they also make you give a damn about the side characters, which is really difficult to do, especially in Indian daytime soap operas. They all matter and have their own unique personality that adds to the story and makes you want to keep watching. Not to mention this show has some hilarious bits and some really emotional moments. The main actors have amazing chemistry and I'd like to really praise Sanaya Irani (Khushi) for her amazing acting, it didn't feel like she was acting at all! She was so natural and she deserves more recognition for her work, she did fantastic! She's one of the best female leads I've seen out of all the Indian dramas I've watched. Barun also did amazing and played his role really well, showing emotions related to his role and giving depth to Arnavs character and of course, he was nice to look at too 😉. As a Bengali-American, I love this show and this is a must-watch for anyone interested in or beginning to watch Indian soap operas as this is one of the more intelligent ones. This is a staple in Indian daytime drama and an instant classic, highly recommend!
