The runaway train went down the track....
31 May 2014
Warning: Spoilers
First the positives I did not have to pay any extra apart from the ever increasing Sky monthly subscription, the bad news I feel short changed. So here is the story a train is taken over by a deranged person and driven at high speed while half a dozen people try to stop it. Unfortunately the film lacks pace, script, twists or anything which makes it slightly interesting. Poor Kara Tointon must have thought she was reading Shakespeare in Eastenders when looking at this script, the poor girl is left trying to convey emotions with ever increasing stranger facial expressions which borders on gurning.

You have to care about the characters in a movie and half way through I was hoping the driver would put his foot down and plunge them all into the English Channel, the doctor takes stoic to new levels and explores all the emotions from a to b. The highlight was singing along to the Bee Gees 'Staying alive' as the stoic doctor tried to revive the pegged out women in the carriage.

Another point do trains like this still exist? I have never been on a train like this in 30 years. Sorry this is a awful film, no plot no twists exceptionally poor script. I don't mind filling the gaps in a film and don't need spoon feeding but who, why does the man kill the driver and take over ? we are clueless even at the end. At the end we a left with the ludicrous idea the stoic doctor can simply throw himself off a speeding train and get up and dust himself down. Try to avoid this film as you will not get the time back.
