I must say it was very cool to see good old Godzilla in action again - and more ominous than ever! But nostalgia and decent effects is where it ends. How many films have we seen with this plot?? Are we not yet tired of it? Boy gets called in to help (sure, he's worked with mutant earth worms but come on!). Boy meets girl (and gee whiz, the girl's a wannabe reporter who gets the story of her life!). Blah blah blah and then they all run toward the camera from a ball of flame. Sound familiar?? This American plot is wearing thin.
