Poll: Bond Before Bond

Sorry for the cryptic title but the question is rather simple.

All these distinguished gentlemen have many traits in common, they're all British-born and were already known to the public eye before the first "James Bond" was released, they also seem to physically match the general perception of the iconic secret agent: tall, dark, handsome etc.

Just out of curiosity, under the right circumstances, which one do you think could have made a memorable or (at least) interesting James Bond?
