Debra Messing assures us that David Schwimmer’s character on the upcoming 10th season of “Will & Grace” is nothing like his iconic “Friends” persona.

Chris Jericho to star in Kevin Smith’s horror anthology KillRoy Was Here
Last summer, Kevin Smith announced that he was shooting a horror anthology movie entitled KillRoy Was Here, which originally started out as a Christmas-themed Krampus film before morphing into what the filmmaker describes as a “modern day Creepshow kinda flick.”

Well, Smith has now taken to Facebook to provide another update, revealing that wrestling icon Chris Jericho is set to feature in the movie as “a nasty-ass South Florida streamer”.

Despite suffering a major heart attack earlier this year, Smith is showing no signs of slowing down. He’s gearing up to begin production on his return to the View Askewniverse, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, has another episode of The CW’s Supergirl in the pipeline, and recently teased that he’s working on what could become his biggest-budgeted project of his entire career.

Media Reacts to Asia Argento Payout: ‘Two Things Can Be True at Once’
Updated: Most celebrities have not been vocal so far about the news that Asia Argento paid a young actor a settlement after a sexual encounter when he was 17.

The New York Times broke the story Sunday evening that former child actor and musician Jimmy Bennett had received $380,000 from Argento after the 2013 encounter in a California hotel.

Rosanna Arquette repeatedly warned her followers on Twitter that the Bennett settlement was a case of extortion.

I know many many rape and trauma survivors who act out sexually The wounds they carry run deep. I pray for them. the timing of this story is suspect. Asia was still raped by Harvey Weinstein.

‘This Is Us’ Star Milo Ventimiglia on Jack’s Future After Season 2 (Video)
This story about Milo Ventimiglia first appeared in the Down to the Wire issue of TheWrap’s Emmy magazine.

Milo Ventimiglia hogged the tear-jerking moments during the second season of “This Is Us”: It’s hard to think of a more heartbreaking scene than the death of his character, Jack Pearson, and impossible to top the bittersweet dream sequence that showed us what a world with an old Jack would be like. And going into Season 3 — with Jack’s on-screen demise finally behind us — Ventimiglia is ready to flashback and, maybe forward, again.

“It is funny, I have nothing that I look forward to on the show other than just being there,” Ventimiglia said. “It’s one of those jobs that I’m going to compare every other job after this to. And if they were to say, ‘Hey, we’re going back to Old Man Jack,’ great. If they say,

Ratings: J Lo’s ‘Shades of Blue’ Ends With a Hush, Though Series Finale Ties Season High
Jennifer Lopez’s “Shades of Blue” aired its series finale on Sunday, when it managed to tie a season high in Nielsen ratings. Unfortunately, that season high was still pretty low.

CBS ended up winning a pretty unspectacular Sunday night outright, thanks to the older-skewing “60 Minutes” and younger-skewing “Big Brother.”

ABC came in second place in terms of primetime averages, NBC was third.

Inside the Boutique Festival Boom
This spring, the Eaux Claires festival – founded by Aaron Dessner of The National and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver – made a startling announcement: It would not share any details of its lineup ahead of time.

“It’s intentional as a way to get out of the headliners’ arm race,” says Dessner, who helped choose the soul oddball Swamp Dogg, the electronic producer Jlin and the rapper-poet Noname for the July 6th-7th Wisconsin event, along with indie stalwarts like Sharon Van Etten and the Dirty Projectors. “We want unknown artists

Kevin Spacey’s ‘Billionaire Boys Club’ Opens With Abysmal $618

Kevin Spacey’s ‘Billionaire Boys Club’ Opens With Abysmal $618
Billionaire Boys Club” isn’t living up to its name.

Vertical Entertainment’s crime drama starring Kevin Spacey, Ansel Elgort, Taron Egerton, and Emma Roberts picked up an anemic $618 when it debuted in 11 theaters across the United States. It reportedly launched with a disastrous $126 on Friday. “Billionaire Boys Club” played in various smaller cities, including the San Fransisco area, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Detroit, New Orleans, the Hartford/New Haven area, Miami and Sarasota, Florida.

James Cox directed the film, which is based on the real-life Billionaire Boys Club that was active in southern California in the ’80s — their get rich quick ponzi scheme collapsed in spectacularly bloody fashion. The film was first released through video on demand on July 17, which likely further depressed box office. However, allegations that Spacey sexually abused multiple people didn’t help matters.

Earlier this summer, Vertical Entertainment put out a statement defending its decision to release the film.

The Jennifer Lopez-led NBC drama averaged a 0.6 rating in adults 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers at 10 p.m., matching its season high in the demo. It was approximately even with its performance last week and only slightly above the show’s third season Live+Same Day average in both key measures. Furthermore, “Shades of Blue” did not cleanly top its timeslot, tying with a new episode of ABC’s “To Tell the Truth” in the demo, with the latter show coming out ahead in total viewers with 3.5 million.

Song You Need to Know: Cat Power feat. Lana Del Rey, “Woman”
In 2012, circa Del Rey’s Ready To Die, this match-up would’ve been head-exploding –- one artist notorious for her supposed fakeness, the other for her occasionally dysfunctional realness. Now, it just seems inevitable and brilliant. Recalling Nancy Sinatra musically, Helen Reddy’s “I Am Woman” spiritually – with maybe a wisp of Donna Summer/ Barbara Streisand’s “No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)” – this atmospheric ballad declares independence, presumably to an ungrateful, gaslighting lover. “The doctor said I was not my past, he said I was finally free,” states Chan
