After saving Brooklyn Nine-Nine at the 11th hour when Fox canceled the beloved series after five seasons, NBC has announced that the series will return for a second year on the network for Season 7 of the series. Created by Michael Schur and Dan Goor, Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Andy Samberg as Brooklyn detective Jake Peralta, and features a deep bench of supporting characters played by Melissa Fumero, Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio, and Andre Braugher. Season 6 of the series has been performing well for NBC, averaging 3.9 million total viewers in the "live plus seven day" Nielsen ratings.
