Berlin based artist with Dutch passport. Born in the winter of 1959 by the river Rhine, living the first years with father (officer) and mother (teacher) in Sorong (New Guinea) till 1962. In the sixties (1967-1970) 3 years in West Germany (North Rhine Westphalia). Beginning of the seventies (1972) in the Middle East with the whole family, where father worked as an observer for the UN. One year (1986) in North Italy (Lodi near Milano) after art school AKI Enschede (1980-1985). Before moving to Berlin beginning of the nineties based in Amsterdam (1988-1993). Founded there the artist initiative (artists' international research: a.i.r.) with five artists. Curated some exhibitions (a.o. Boudoir, 1993). In Berlin for 7 years (1994-2000) team member of the architect office Foster and Partners rebuilding the Reichstag. Further education as new media designer since (2002). Traveling Rome (1983) India (2009), Indonesia (2013) and New Zealand (2018). Small trips to important art cities like a.o. Athens, London, Paris, Madrid, New York, Singapur. Artist in residence in Vienna MQ (2015). Studio in Berlin Mitte. Mother language Dutch, further languages, English, German some words Italian and French.
