CAA has dropped a pair of female Bipoc entrepreneurs who’ve gained attention in recent years for holding “anti-racist” dinner parties for an affluent white women audience, according to one of the founders who says they offended their agent with their vocal support for Palestine following Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre and Israel’s subsequent invasion of Gaza.
On Nov. 13 Saira Rao told her followers on X, the social platform formerly known as Twitter, that she and her business partner Regina Jackson were now without representation due to “our words denouncing genocide. This is McCarthyism on steroids and ethnic cleansing. We are disgusted but not shocked. #FreePalestine.”
CAA’s New York-based Ally Shuster had been their agent. The Century City-based major agency did not return a request for comment. Rao and Jackson’s speaking and book agents also didn’t respond to requests for comment.

Another week, another sus death to investigate, on Apple TV’s Silo!
In the wake of Sims pitching Trumbull over a railing, Juliette and Billings in Episode 6 searched the Judicial grunt’s apartment, after the sheriff forced her way in with a crowbar. There, Billings discovered inside a kitchen cabinet the odd relic that we at home in the year 2023 know to be a duck-headed Pez dispenser — just like the one George gave Juliette. Hmmm.

Silo has shifted into the next phase of events. From the death of a sheriff to that of many more, finally, we have ourselves in the phase of relics that contain the answer to the mysteries that lie beyond the Silo, maybe the existence of life itself. And just like the beginning of any phase, we find out about new stuff—stuff that the judiciary wouldn’t want anyone to come across. Silo Episode 6 is slow and tests our patience till the very end. But we can accept that because we have made it halfway through. Now we have to see how Juliette finds out about George’s death and Silo’s secrets.
Spoilers Ahead
A Relic Planted
Silo Episode 6 begins with Juliette and her deputies, including Paul Billings, breaking into Doug Trumbull’s place to look for any “strange” evidence. Strangely, Paul finds the same relic that Juliette had...

Eight upper-middle-class, suburban white women arrive at a dinner party in the opening moments of Patty Ivins Specht’s “Deconstructing Karen.” Hosted by activist Regina Jackson and former Colorado congressional candidate Saira Rao, through their start-up Race2Dinner, the women are immediately told “if you’re going to cry, leave the table and go into the living room,” setting a confrontational tone for the rest of the evening.

Ryan Kwanten (Photo credit: Matt Byrne).
Half-way through shooting Seth Larney’s 2067 in Adelaide, Ryan Kwanten is convinced the sci-fi mystery thriller will have a lasting impact on moviegoers.
“There is something behind Seth’s vision which makes this feel like it’s more than a movie,” says the actor, whose extensive credits include HBO’s True Blood, Ivan Sen’s Mystery Road, Fox’s comedy New Girl and Peter Templeman’s Not Suitable for Children.
“It has a deeper consciousness and is one of those projects that I know will stay with me for a long time. It will play with people’s snap judgments: it’s not your classic case of good versus evil. There really isn’t a bad person in this movie. Everyone has intentions which they think are honourable.”
Set in a deforested and oxygen-deprived world – the result of climate change – the plot follows Kodi Smit-McPhee as Ethan Whyte,...
