Set and filmed in Manchester, UK, the supernatural six-parter stars the BAFTA–nominated Siena Kelly (Adult Material, Hit & Run) as Domino Day, a young woman on all the dating apps. A young witch with extraordinary powers, Domino is desperately seeking a community who can help her understand who she is, but she doesn’t need to look far as a coven of witches is already tracking her every move, convinced they have to stop her before her powers destroy everyone and everything around her.

Exclusive: Adult Material star Siena Kelly has boarded BBC Three witch drama Domino Day, as the show’s EP Laurence Bowen spotlights his indie Dancing Ledge’s work with new writers.
Domino Day, which comes from first-time writer and Dancing Ledge Writer in Residence (Wir) Lauren Sequeira, is an irreverent comedy-drama about modern dating in which the protagonist uses dating apps to hunt, rather than find love.
Kelly, who was BAFTA nominated for her role in Channel 4’s Adult Material, will play Domino, a powerful young witch who is haunted by her need to feed on the energy of others, a hunger that only grows, despite her attempt to start her life over in Manchester. She is desperately seeking a community who can help her understand her feelings but, unbeknownst to her, she is being tracked by a coven of witches.

"I hardly recognize this country anymore..." Peccadillo Pictures has unveiled the first official trailer for an indie drama titled Monsoon, the latest feature from Cambodian-British filmmaker Hong Khaou (also of Lilting previously). This premiered at last year's Karlovy Vary Film Festival, and also played at the Athens and London Film Festivals. Henry Golding stars as Kit, a British-Vietnamese man, who returns to Saigon for the first time in over 30 years, after fleeing during the Vietnam-American War. Monsoon is described as "a rich and poignant reflection on the struggle for identity in a place where the past weighs heavily on the present." The cast also includes Parker Sawyers, David Tran, and Molly Harris. This looks absolutely gorgeous, not only visually but also as deeply intimate storytelling about finding your place in this big world. Here's the first official UK trailer for Hong Khaou's Monsoon, direct from Peccadillo's YouTube: Kit (Henry Golding...

Displacement, grief, the generation gap and gay relationships characterized by cultural difference — Cambodian-British filmmaker Hong Khaou’s second film swims in similar thematic waters to his acclaimed first, “Lilting.” But while “Monsoon” broaches these subjects with Khaou’s already trademark, borderline tremulous sensitivity, it comes from the opposite direction, tracking the hesitant attempts of a Vietnamese-born Englishman to find some slender connection to his birth nation, following the death of his mother. Initially, none comes: “I feel like a tourist,” says Kit (Henry Golding), and his voice is tinctured with the disappointment of the prodigal child returning to find no fatted-calf feast.
Kit is in Vietnam for the first time since being spirited away as a six-year-old by his mother, fleeing the turbulent wake of the war with America. Arriving a couple of weeks ahead of his brother, Kit is doing some advance scouting around Saigon (which is how most...
