They say that time heals all wounds, but is that true for reality TV fans? Last season a huge controversy erupted on “The Voice” when Adam Levine threw his artist DeAndre Nico under the bus on live television. As you may recall, after DeAndre and Reagan Strange both placed in the bottom three, their Maroon 5 coach basically instructed viewers at home not to vote for DeAndre but instead to vote for Reagan, who was too sick to perform her Instant Save song. Adam’s plan worked, with Reagan making it into the Top 8 and DeAndre being eliminated. Have you forgiven Adam for what he did to DeAndre? Vote in our poll below.

Even though Reagan Strange, Sarah Grace and Abby Cates were eliminated earlier this season on “The Voice,” NBC’s reality TV show welcomed them back for an intimate performance of Lady Gaga‘s “Million Reasons” during Tuesday’s results show. Reagan and Sarah were both sent home during last week’s Top 8 bloodbath while Abby was ousted back during Top 26 week. Watch the ladies’ goosebumps-inducing performance above.

Two weeks ago “The Voice” contestant DeAndre Nico made headlines when his coach, Adam Levine, cruelly threw him under the bus so that fellow teammate Reagan Strange could advance instead. Adam’s actions resulted in many viewers asking for his reality TV resignation. To make matters worse, Reagan was eliminated the following week and so Adam entered the Season 15 finale without a single artist still in the game. During Tuesday’s results show, DeAndre returned to “The Voice” stage for the first time since his controversial elimination (watch above).

Tuesday’s Season 15 finale of The Voice promised to be a real nail-biter. Kirk Jay, heretofore the frontrunner, had had an off night Monday, and Kennedy Holmes had turned in not one, not two but three dazzling performances. They were so good, in fact, that my praise got me accused of being biased. (I think all my enthusiasm for her means is that I prefer contestants who sing like a dream and don’t stand on stage like they’ve been hit by a freeze ray.) But, considering that just last week, the 14-year-old had had to fight for the Instant Save,...

The American public has been voting for the past 24 hours following an excellent episode on Monday, December 17 (full recap by clicking here). The results for the Top 4 will be announced by host Carson Daly on Tuesday’s show. If Chevel Shepherd wins, it will give coach Kelly Clarkson a second straight victory. If Kennedy Holmes wins, it means a first ever U.S. championship for coach Jennifer Hudson, although she has won in Great Britain. And a trophy for either Kirk Jay or Chris Kroeze means a seventh career victory for coach Blake Shelton. Coach Adam Levine does not have contenders remaining for this autumn cycle.

The two-part Season 15 finale of NBC’s reality TV series “The Voice,” will take place on Monday, December 17 and Tuesday, December 18. One of the four artists vying for the title is the 14-year old pop singer from St. Louis, Missouri, Kennedy Holmes. If Kennedy prevails, she will become the youngest winner ever and the first for coach Jennifer Hudson. Standing in her way are Kirk Jay (Team Blake Shelton), Chevel Shepherd (Team Kelly Clarkson) and Chris Kroeze (Team Blake).
Kennedy began her journey with a blind audition of “Turning Tables” which earned her a four-chair turn from all of the coaches. Although she was a bit star-struck by all of them, she was especially smitten by Jennifer, who has always been an inspiration to her. That made joining Team J-Hud an easy choice.

“The Voice” fans are Not happy that Kymberli Joye was eliminated from NBC’s reality TV show just one week before the Season 15 finale. Based on the results of our recent poll, a whopping 74% of viewers said that Kelly Clarkson‘s gospel singer was “robbed” of a space in the finals. Conversely, only 26% thought that Kymberli’s placement in the Top 8 was “good enough” for her.

Kennedy Holmes made it into the final four on “The Voice” by winning the Instant Save on Tuesday’s results show over another artist on Team Jennifer Hudson, MaKenzie Thomas, and Adam Levine’s last remaining act, Reagan Strange. We asked viewers if this was the right result and a whopping 61% of you said it was. Do you agree? Read our recap of their three performances and then sound off in the comments section.
McKenzie was up first and did a cover of Patty Griffin‘s contemporary folk song “Up to the Mountain.” As our live blogger John Benutty noted, “This was a great song choice for her, finally taking a step back away from the diva ballads and giving us something we can all immediately connect to. As expected her big voice shined bright and she showed the same control, maturity and depth of talent that she’s had all season.

Even Adam Levine couldn’t save Reagan Strange from elimination this week on “The Voice.” She lost the Instant Save to Kennedy Holmes of Team Jennifer Hudson. Last week, Levine had intervened when Strange was too sick to sing in this sudden death match. He threw one of his other artists, DeAndre Nico, under the bus and urged viewers to vote for Strange.
That strategy worked and she made it through to the Top 8. At the start of the Dec. 11 results show, it looked like she might make the final four. Carson Daly revealed that two of Kelly Clarkson’s artists — Sarah Grace and Kymberli Joye — were the bottom vote getters and were eliminated right away by Carson Daly. Clarkson’s last act, Chevel Shepherd, made the top three as did Blake Shelton’s two remaining artists: Kirk Jay and Chris Kroeze.
That left Strange to face off against Hudson’s Holmes and MaKenzie Thomas.

And just like that, Kymberli Joye, the final gospel singer still in contention to win “The Voice” Season 15, was eliminated during Tuesday’s Top 8 results episode. Because Kymberli and Sarah Grace, both of Team Kelly Clarkson, received the lowest number of overnight votes for their Monday performances, the two powerhouse artists were not given the option of singing for their lives via the instant save. That meant Tori Kelly‘s “Never Alone” (watch above) ended up being Kymberli’s final performance ever on “The Voice.”

As always, R&B powerhouse MaKenzie Thomas turned in a captivating performance, boldly tackling a Mariah Carey tune for the second time this season. Taking on “Vision of Love,” Thomas gave the 1990 hit a gospel makeover, standing in front of a waterfall of light and earning cheers from the crowd as the song’s energy rose halfway through.

The Top 8 artists on “The Voice” each sang one solo on the two-hour episode on Monday December 10. The goal for each of these would-be winners of season 15 is to be the most streamed on Apple Music by Tuesday morning so that they can reap the benefit of a vote multiplier. The bottom three vote-getters as revealed by host Carson Daly will have to sing for the Instant Save on Tuesday’s show.
That is what happened last week to Dave Fenley from Team Blake Shelton and both DeAndre Nico and Reagan Strange from Team Adam Levine. Each was to sing one more song to try and win votes cast by viewers via Twitter. Strange was too sick to perform but still won the Instant Save after Levine threw DeNico under the bus.

Monday night during the Top 8 performance episode of “The Voice,” ballad singer MaKenzie Thomas of Team Jennifer Hudson took on “Vision of Love” for America’s votes. As for MaKenzie performing yet another Mariah Carey classic, JHud noted that it was smart so that they could “keep this diva train going” into the finals. Will MaKenzie be one of the four artists to make it to Season 15 finale? Watch “The Voice” live performance video above.

Believe it or not, there was some business to attend to on The Voice Monday besides Adam Levine more or less totally ignoring the #AdamSucks backlash that erupted after he played favorites with his team members during the Top 10 Results Show. The remaining eight singers — including the now-recovered Reagan Strange — performed twice in hopes of surviving Tuesday’s Semifinals bloodbath and advancing to the Finals. Which of them sounded like they were going to be put through — and which of them were likely to get through regardless of how they sounded? Read on, and we’ll discuss.

Will coach Adam Levine be able to overcome the public hatred towards him after last week’s results show for “The Voice”? Before the Top 8 on “The Voice” perform again on Dec. 10, we asked viewers of the show who they think will win season 15. Their overwhelming pick, with a whopping 30% of the total vote, is Kennedy Holmes, who is coached by Jennifer Hudson. That would be sweet revenge for the Oscar and Grammy-winning Hudson, who did not have an artist in the top 4 in her inaugural season on the show last year.
Each of the other three coaches also has one artist that merited double digit support. Blake Shelton‘s Kirk Jay has 25% of the audience behind him; one of Kelly Clarkson‘s three remaining acts, Chevel Shepherd, registers 13% support; and Regan Strange from Team Adam Levine is at 11%; None of the other contestants in the Top 8 broke the 10% barrier and could well face elimination on Tuesday’s show hosted by Carson Daly.

After Tuesday night’s live elimination of Dave Fenley and DeAndre Nico, the Top 8 artists are set to compete in the Season 15 Semifinals of “The Voice.” Each of the coaches has taken at least one hit this season, but Team Kelly Clarkson is still holding strong with three artists. Both Team Blake Shelton and Team Jennifer Hudson have two artists remaining while Team Adam Levine is down to just one.
Next Monday, December 10, “The Voice” Top 8 will once again perform for audience votes. On Tuesday, the field will be cut in half after three artists are automatically declared safe based on votes and downloads while one more will win the Instant Save by singing another song for a chance at being saved by live Twitter vote.

With the elimination of Dave Fenley and DeAndre Nico on the December 4 results show, “The Voice” is now down to just eight artists in contention to win season 15. Of the four coaches, only Kelly Clarkson has all three of the artists that she brought to this stage of the competition. Jennifer Hudson and Blake Shelton are down to two apiece while Adam Levine has just one contestant still in the running.

As Gold Derby predicted, Tuesday night was the end of the road for Dave Fenley of Team Blake Shelton on “The Voice” Season 15. The raspy-voiced country crooner wowed the live audience with his final song of “Amazed” by Lonestar, but it wasn’t enough to win the instant save. Before the final vote was read, host Carson Daly asked if Blake had any parting words and he responded, “No, I don’t have any last words for Dave. We’re gonna go to the semifinals, I believe it in my heart.” Unfortunately, Blake’s heart — and America — let him down. Watch Dave’s final “Voice” performance above.

As Gold Derby predicted, both DeAndre Nico of Team Adam Levine and Dave Fenley of Team Blake Shelton were eliminated during the Top 10 results show of “The Voice.” However, what transpired on live television was something you truly had to see to believe. After two of Adam’s artists — DeAndre and Reagan Strange — were revealed to be in the bottom three, Adam threw DeAndre under the bus in order to help Reagan win the instant save vote. And it worked. DeAndre was sent home while Reagan, who was too sick to perform a “save-me” song, made it into the Top 8.

Things got real awkward on Tuesday night’s live results episode of “The Voice,” when Coach Adam Levine made the shrewd decision to take sides after both of his remaining artists, DeAndre Nico and Reagan Strange, landed in the bottom three (alongside Team Blake Shelton‘s Dave Fenley). Reagan had fallen ill and was unable to sing for the Instant Save, while DeAndre gave a stirring rendition of “All of Me” that had the coaches on their feet. But rather than heap praise on the Texas soul singer, Adam took his opportunity to plea for viewers at home to save Reagan, throwing DeAndre under the bus. Was Adam too harsh in his plea to save Reagan? Or did Adam do what was necessary to get the right artist into the semifinals?

Ahead of The Voice’s Season 15 Semifinals, not one but two singers were shown the stage door Tuesday. Going into the Results Show, at least based on TVLine’s Monday-night poll, Kirk Jay looked safer than safe (despite a lotta criticism in the comments), as did Kennedy Holmes (whose performance was probably the show’s most fun since Chris Blue did “Rhythm Nation”). Considering that Reagan Strange seems to dominate the streaming whether her live singing is anywhere near tolerable, she was probably, inexplicably safe, too. (Or so I thought pre-show… )

According to Gold Derby’s exclusive predictions for “The Voice,” the two artists most in danger of going home during Top 10 week are Dave Fenley of Team Blake Shelton (1/3 odds) and DeAndre Nico of Team Adam Levine (3/10 odds). In a season that has been superabundant with teenage prodigies, Sarah Grace appeared to be the one flying under the radar. That was until the 16-year old from Team Kelly Clarkson pulled out her trumpet and wowed viewers with a bluesy version of “Amazing Grace,” interpreted through the music of the classic rock song “House of the Rising Sun.” Sarah came up with the risky concept herself, and the gamble paid off. Her single skyrocketed to #3 on the iTunes chart, making it the highest charting song yet from Season 15 of “The Voice.”
While iTunes is no longer an official voting method, it remains one visible way to find out which artists are striking a cord with viewers. At the time voting closed, Team Blake Shelton‘s Kirk Jay was right on Sarah’s heels. The Alabama country singer peaked at #4 with his stirring rendition of “Tomorrow,” earning him his second top 10 hit in three weeks.

Show support for your favorite artist in the Top 10 of “The Voice” by casting a vote for them before Tuesday night’s results show. Two of the coaches — Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton — still have the same three contestants that they brought into this phase of the competition. Clarkson, who won in her inaugural season as a coach last season, has Sarah Grace, Kymberli Joye and Chevel Shepherd on her team. Six-time champ Shelton has Dave Fenley, Kirk Jay and Chris Kroeze.
Each of the other two coaches — Jennifer Hudson and Adam Levine – has lost one of their contenders already. Hudson, who didn’t have an artist in the Top 4 when she made her debut as a coach last year, has Kennedy Holmes and MaKenzie Thomas. And three-time winner Adam Levine still has DeAndre Nico and Reagan Strange in the running.

In advance of the Top 10 performing on Dec. 3, we asked viewers of “The Voice” who they think will win season 15. Their overwhelming pick, with a whopping one-third of the total vote, is Kennedy Holmes, who is coached by Jennifer Hudson. That would be sweet revenge for the Oscar and Grammy-winning Hudson, who did not have an artist in the top 4 in her inaugural season on the show last year.
Each of the other three coaches has one artist that merited double digit support. Regan Strange from Team Adam Levine is at 18%; Blake Shelton‘s Kirk Jay has 16%; and one of Kelly Clarkson‘s three remaining acts, Chevel Shepherd, registers 11% support. None of the other contestants in the Top 10 broke the 10% barrier and could well face elimination on Tuesday’s show hosted by Carson Daly.

Jennifer Hudson is a force to be reckoned with on “The Voice,” with two powerful artists — Kennedy Holmes and MaKenzie Thomas — still in the running to win the Season 15 championship. But did you know that before she became an international superstar, JHud worked at Burger King? As she reveals in NBC’s new digital video, “My first and only real job was working at Burger King. I used to sing in the drive thru window. That was my microphone.” Watch the full Jennifer Hudson interview above.

Jennifer Hudson teamed up with a pair of high fliers from her team on The Voice Tuesday night, taking on the emotional heft of a theatrical pop anthem. It was just one part of a results episode which also featured some country fun and the departure of a hopeful competitor.
Joined onstage by 13-year-old standout Kennedy Holmes and Kentucky R&B maven MaKenzie Thomas, Hudson’s trio patiently slid into the classic strains of Bette Midler’s reflective stunner “The Rose” — a hit found in the 1979 film of the same name.

After Tuesday night’s live elimination of Lynnea Moorer, the Top 10 artists are left to compete for the Season 15 title on “The Voice.” Coach Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson have their all-female teams of three and two, respectively, both poised to put forward a potential winner while Blake Shelton‘s three guys hope to buck that trend of female champions. Adam Levine managed to hang on to his three artists, including DeAndre Nico who earned the Instant Save and Reagan Strange who lead the pack in Apple Music streams for the second week in a row.
Next Monday, December 3, “The Voice” Top 10 will once again perform for audience votes. On Tuesday, eight artists will be automatically declared safe based on votes and downloads while the other two will compete for the Instant Save by singing another song for a chance at being saved by live Twitter vote.

A dark cloud of foreboding hung over Tuesday’s episode of The Voice. Going into the Top 11 results show, I was sure, absolutely sure, that two vocalists I really liked were destined to sing for the Instant Save: Team Blake’s Dave Fenley, whose fan-assigned cover of Bill Withers’ “Use Me” was going to make it easy for viewers to add “Ref” before the song’s title, and Team Kelly’s Sarah Grace, whose rendition of the fan-chosen “Dog Days Are Over” had sounded like Florence + the Malfunctioning Machine.

The fans were responsible for choosing which songs artists sang on “The Voice” Monday night, and nobody benefited more than Team Kelly Clarkson‘s powerhouse gospel singer Kymberli Joye. The worship leader from Connecticut skyrocketed to number seven on the iTunes chart with her fiery performance of “Break Every Chain.” Kymberli was in need of a big week after the one-time front-runner failed to break into the top 200 on iTunes last week. Monday, November 26 on “The Voice,” Kennedy Holmes took on “Greatest Love of All” for Team Jennifer Hudson during the Top 11 performance episode. Kennedy knew that it was a risk to sing the iconic Whitney Houston hit, but it looked to have paid off as the coaches and studio audience gave her a rousing standing ovation. As this was “Fan Night,” America got to pick which song each artist performed, but will Kennedy earn enough votes to make it through to next week’s all-important Top 10? Based on your comments following Monday’s recap of the performances by The Voice’s Top 13, you wouldn’t have minded if the show had sent packing just about all of the contestants — and me with ’em. (And people say I’m mean — da-amn!) Nonetheless, only two singers were played off on Tuesday. Before we found out which of the contenders they were, we of course had to sit through the usual results-show filler.

The live shows continued Monday night of “The Voice” and, for the first time this season, the performances were made available for download and streaming across Apple Music. Leading the pack was Team Blake Shelton‘s Kirk Jay, who peaked at #10 on the overall chart with his heartfelt ballad, “I’m Already There” (watch the performance). Since Kirk was within the Top 10 at the close of voting, he earned bonus points, doubling his number of votes received from streaming.
Seven other artists cracked the Top 200 singles on iTunes. Team Adam Levine‘s Reagan Strange topped out at #23 with “You Say,” while her teammate Tyke James was right behind her at #24 with “(Everything I Do) I Do it For You.” Team Kelly Clarkson‘s Chevel Shepherd landed at #38 with her sassy rendition of “Little White Church,” while Team Blake’s Chris Kroeze reached #56 with his emotional performance of “Let it Be.
