It wasn't easy for the producers of the American Idol reboot to pick three judges to star alongside Ryan Seacrest — and it cost them a huge chunk of change! The sixteenth season of the singing competition kicked off in early March with Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie at the judge's table, but if you've watched, you may have noticed that the "Swish Swish" songstress has been the most talkative — but it's for good reason, as she actually earns the highest salary on the show! Though host Ryan is reportedly earning $15 million for the season, Luke and Lionel are banking only $7 million each — partly because of Katy's jaw-dropping salary: $25 million! Needless to say, the singer's big pay day quickly became the talk of the town, but she told fans that she thought she was receiving a fair rate. The show might not go on after all! The American Idol reboot is in jeopardy of being canceled because ratings aren't exactly what the network had hoped for. A source exclusively told In Touch, "Many believe it has to do with the sexual misconduct allegations against Ryan Seacrest." Ryan has vehemently denied the accusations against him made by a former stylist who claimed that he would grind his erect penis against her while in his underwear, groped her, and slapped her buttocks. He has since been cleared by NBC, yet his reputation still seems to be a bit tarnished. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) And Ryan is not the only one contributing to the show's questionable future. Celebrity judge Katy Perry — who was paid $25 million for the gig — has also been a big factor as "her flirty behavior with contestants is a turnoff and key element of the ratings decline." The...

First, she kissed a boy and he didn't like it during the audition rounds on American Idol, now Katy Perry just made a contestant cry. The 33-year-old pop singer pulled a cruel prank during the show's Hollywood Week as she told a girl group — consisting of members Britney Holmes, Lee Vasi, Gabbii Jones, and Crystal Alicea — one of them needed to volunteer themselves and go home as there were only three open slots left in the upcoming solo round. Crystal, who struggled to vocally keep up with the rest of the members in rehearsal ahead of the group challenge, started sobbing and told the judges she would leave. Turns out, Katy was kidding. So why was Crystal ready to take the fall? She said, "I said that because these girls helped me through everything when I was struggling... They were there for me, so I was willing to take that position.

Sadly, not every American Idol audition is aired on TV. Caroline Kraddick auditioned for the reality singing competition show, but fans at home didn't get to see her journey because she wasn't given a feature on the show. This left fans questioning if the daughter of the late radio personality Kidd Kraddick ever made it on American Idol. Thankfully, Caroline shared a blog post titled I'm Going to Hollywood! to tell fans the story of her audition. "I walked into the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas, I could hear Neil Diamond playing over the intercom. I was named after the song 'Sweet Caroline,' and I hear it all the time. But this time was different," she explained. "This time, I could feel my dad saying, 'You got this pumpkin head!' which is what he would have told me if he’d been there. Afterward, I felt good about...
