Moxley took down Star Jr with a side headlock. Moxley grabbed Star’s hair. Star escaped and put Mox in a submission until Claudio came in and broke up the hold with a boot to Star. Moxley swung at Star, but Star ducked it and smacked Moxley in the mush. Star and Esfinge were about to go for stereo topes, but the Bcc walked away. Esfinge and Star pumped the brakes. Brody and Claudio, both known for their power, began the match by blasting one another with forearms. Brody hit Claudio with a lariat, not afraid to utilize the cast on his injured arm. Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features seven matches – matching this week’s Elevation. Let’s see what went down…
Match #1: Ar Fox def. Peter Avalon
My Thoughts: Well this was a surprisingly great opener. Ar Fox has been a fantastic addition to the Aew roster – you just have to look at this match, where he and Peter Avalon worked brilliantly together to see that. Kudos to Avalon too, whose recently shed the more comedic aspects of his wrestling persona to great aplomb. A solid opening match.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Willie Mack def. Serpentico
My Thoughts: Willie Mack should’ve ended this one fast and decisively but he didn’t, he actually sold Serpentico’s offence on his knee – even after the match ended. The sign of a true professional. As always Serpentico wrestled better in a singles match than he ever...

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which once again this week features a mere Five matches (music to my ears!) Anyway, on with the review…
Match #1: Juice Robinson def. Leon Ruffin
My Thoughts: This is Easily the best match Juice Robinson has had in Aew so far. Leon Ruffin was a great opponent and a brilliant foil for Robinson, who needed the win to build his rep in the company, especially considering his antics on Aew’s main show(s) last week.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Kiera Hogan def. Leila Grey
My Thoughts: An interesting match-up, with a former baddie taking on a current baddie in what could be a new feud in Aew, one that would allow the Jade Cargill hype-train to continue but allow for “camp” to take loses whilst building up possible opponents to dethrone Cargill.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #3: The Iron Savages def.

My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Rush def. Aiden Park
My Thoughts: Surprise, surprise, we get a squash match from Rush. but damn if Rush doesn’t do great squashes… I love how he’s both sneaky and dominant as he overpowers his opponents, and that was certainly the case here.

Match #1: Kiera Hogan def. Danika Della Rouge
My Thoughts: This was an Ok match to open the show, I would say this was akin to an Aew quasi-squash but Rouge managed to get just enough offence in to make it look like more of a competitive match-up.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Brian Cage def. Carl Randers
My Thoughts: After seeing Brian Cage’s match on Elevation this felt like a massive comedown and a return to the kinds of squash matches we’ve seen from him in the past. A shame.

Starks cornered Jericho and lit him up with rapid shots. Jericho retaliated with chops to Starks. Jericho and Starks battled on the ring apron, jockeying for position. Jericho suplexed Starks from the apron to the arena floor. Starks battled back to his feet, taking down The Ocho with a dropkick in the center of the ring. Starks nailed Jericho with a Liger Bomb for a near fall. Jericho attempted a lionsault but Starks countered by lifting his knees into Jericho’s ribs. Starks smacked Jericho with a thrust kick. Jericho avoided a splash and landed a codebreaker on Starks.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features thirteen(!) matches… Yes, the match count is creeping up, something I’m not a fan of! Anyway, on with the review.
Match #1: Christopher Daniels def. Brian Pillman Jr.
My Thoughts: It’s great to see Christopher Daniels in action again, even if it is on Dark. This was a decent back and forth, with an outcome that was always in doubt (which is great to see!). Daniels hit the Bme for the crowd-pleasing finish.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Emi Sakura def. Jada Stone
My Thoughts: Jada Stone got one move in here, I’m not sure that even qualifies as a typical Aew quasi-squash Tbh. Not much wet on here, so not much more to say than that!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #3: Ryan Nemeth def. Dak Draper
My Thoughts: Who cares… It’s a Ryan Nemeth match.

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which this week keeps the match count low, with only 7 matches on this week’s show – the last Elevation of 2022! We’ve got Paul Wight on commentary, so let’s get into the review.
Match #1: Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. Leva Bates and Karizma
My Thoughts: This felt very much like Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir going through the motions, as if this was either put together at the last minute or the duo were off their game – which is odd given how good they’ve been together recently. Still, a squash is a squash.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Julia Hart def. Promise Braxton
My Thoughts: Julia Hart gets another singles match and it’s another quick squash match to help build Hart into the kind of monster she needs to be as part of the House of Black.

The winner will face the Aew World Champion Mjf at a later date for control of the Dynamite Diamond ring. Dustin Rhodes eliminated Kip Sabian after a Canadian Destroyer! Butcher and Dustin duked it out on the ring apron until Butcher blasted Dustin with a lariat to eliminate Rhodes. Starks eliminated the Butcher after ramming him with a shoulder. Jack Perry took out Lee Moriarty with a hurracanrana over the top rope. Jungle Boy was trying to hold onto the rope when W. Match #1: Nick Comoroto def. Hagane Shinno
My Thoughts: Interesting to see Comoroto booked as a monster once again, with Shinno booked as the plucky underdog who could not get the big man down. That’s not to say Shinno didn’t put in the effort but it was like watching a fly trying to beatdown a bulldog! Comoroto spent a bit too much time playing to the crowd but still, this was an Ok start to the show.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which features 8 matches on the card this week (thankfully; I do love a shorter show)… On with the review!

My Thoughts: Paris Van Dale is back again to get squashed by a signed Aew talent! I jest but Van Dale at least got more of a chance to show off her skills in this match than against Tay Melo. Sky Blue once again delivered a solid performance and the growth in her skills is very apparent every time she wrestles. As is the case here. A solid start to the show.

Aew TBS Champion Jade Cargill during a segment from Dynamite. Pic credit: All Elite Wrestling/YouTube
So far, during All Elite Wrestling’s history, Jade Cargill has been among the dominant champions featured in the promotion, racking up an impressive undefeated record.
The Aew TBS Champion added another win to that record at this past weekend’s All Out event in Chicago, Illinois, and did so in ring gear paying tribute to a superhuman.
Jade showed off her She-Hulk-inspired gear on her official Instagram just a few days after collecting her impressive 37th victory within Aew.
Like the Marvel She-Hulk character in comic books, Jade donned a bodysuit featuring purple and white with gold shapes across the upper middle portion of the gear.
White boots and kneepads featuring her logo in purple were also part of her ring attire for the All Out event, where she was amongst the main card performers.

Match #1: John Silver def. Serpentico
My Thoughts: This was a really solid start to this week’s show. Serpentico was his usual reliable self (even if we did get a screaming Luther in his corner) and so was Silver. A great match even if this felt like something of a showcase for Silver on the road to the Trios Championship final.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Diamante def. Charlette Renegade
My Thoughts: Diamante’s back! It’s been some weeks since we’ve seen her in action, just a shame she had to come back to Renegade Sisters shenanigans, which totally took away from this match this week rather than adding to it.

All Elite Wrestling star Jade Cargill gave fans another stunning look at her impressive physique during a sauna session. Pic credit: All Elite Wrestling/YouTube
All Elite Wrestling’s Jade Cargill continues to remind fans, critics, and opponents in the ring why she’s the first and only Aew TBS Champion.
On Thursday, the 30-year-old professional wrestler displayed her impressive physique, sharing an Instagram carousel series of photos from a sauna.

She was drenched in sweat, making those already rock-hard abdominal muscles even more noticeable than ever.
In the three images, she kept her hands behind her head for the powerful poses to help show off those sculpted arms with her biceps and triceps popping.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. Once again we’ve got the duo of Tony Schiavone and Mark Henry on commentary this week… Let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Ruby Soho & Skye Blue def. Nikki Victory & Megan Meyers
My Thoughts: You would’ve expected a squash match here but that’s not what we got. Victory and Meyers instead held their own, for the most part, against Soho and Blue. I really dig Megan Meyers look – the horror fan in me can appreciate another genre fan for sure!
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Parker Boudreaux def. Casey Carrington
My Thoughts: Now This was a squash match! Former Nxt star Parker Boudreaux played the Brock Lesnar card and made short work of Carrington, who only got two hits in before Boudreaux finished him off.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark. This one features nine matches filmed at Aew Universal and another title defence for Pac, filmed over in Dublin, as part of the travelling All-Atlantic Championship – something that is, right now, one of the more intriguing aspects of Aew’s championship scene.
Match #1: Kiera Hogan def. Allie Reks
My Thoughts: A short, boring quasi-squash match that did nothing for either woman involved. Kiera Hogan really hasn’t shone as much in Aew as she did back in Impact… even as part of Jade Cargill’s crew.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Alex Reynolds def. Ryan Nemeth
My Thoughts: The Dark Order / Wingmen feuding continues but this time in singles competition. A singles match that, honestly, shouldn’t have gone on so long or had Reynolds look so weak. Why Nemeth had the upper hand in this one for so long bemuses me…...

This week’s episode of Aew: Dynamite is first of two shows of Fyter Fest week two. This week Dynamite emanated from the Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia; with Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, and Taz on commentary yet again. Let’s get into the week two, night one, action!
Match #1: Brody King def. Darby Allin The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Darby blasted Brody with a shotgun dropkick and then followed up with a tope suicida. Darby’s feet got hung up on the middle rope and Brody took advantage of this, grabbing Darby and hurling him into the steel ring barricade. Darby jumped on Brody’s back but Brody flung him off and followed up with two consecutive sentons onto Darby. Brody King chopped Darby’s chest. Darby jumped off the turnbuckles but Brody countered with another chop. Brody grabbed Darby by the belt and rag dolled him across the ring.

Match #1: Jon Moxley def. Dante Martin The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Dante offered to shake Mox’s hand but Mox slapped it away. They locked up in a test of strength and Moxley transitioned into a wrist lock on Dante. Moxley used a side headlock takedown to get Dante to the mat. Dante ducked a lariat from Moxley and fired back with a shotgun dropkick. Penta Oscura and Matt Jackson began the match for their respective teams. Penta threw his glove in Matt’s face. Matt ducked a sling blade and then escaped a fear factor attempt. Penta Oscura landed an up kick but Matt swept out Penta Oscuro’s leg. Nick Jackson tagged in, as did Rey Fenix, and Rey Fenix tried a powerbomb to the outside but Nick landed on his feet. They returned to the ring and they grazed one another with kicks.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation which runs a ridiculously short twenty minutes and One second. We’ve only got two, yes two, matches on the card, one of which is Another title defence for Mercedes Martinez. Let’s get into it!
Match #1: Konosuke Takeshita def. Ryan Nemeth
My Thoughts: Konosuke Takeshita goes from a banger of a match against Adam Page to slumming it with Ryan Nemeth. Ok, so it gets him more experience on Aew television but he’s already out-classed the likes of Nemeth in his existing Aew matches so this feels like a step back for a guy who, Imho, could be in one of Aew’s title races right now. Now.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Roh Women’s Title Match – Mercedes Martinez def. Mazzerati

It’s one of Aew’s biggest pay per views of the year, it’s Double or Nothing 2022; which was broadcast live from Las Vegas and was not without controversy – with Mjf reportedly no-showing a Fan Fest event And booking a flight home that started rumours he would no-show this PPV as well! We open with a Buy-In show that sees Danhausen and Hook team up for the first, and hopefully Not for the last, time!
The Buy-In Match #1: Hookhausen (Hook & Danhausen) def. Tony Nese & “Smart” Mark Sterling
My Thoughts: The match Everyone was waiting for! It’s incredibly interesting that two, technically, meme wrestlers in Hook and Danhausen are two of the most compelling in Aew. Danhausen took most of the punishment in this match, keeping Hook looking strong. Danhausen can take a loss, and take the punishment but Hook’s mystique is the fact he’s an undefeated badass.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dark which comes from Aew Universal and features 11 matches this week. Once again we’ve got Taz and Excalibur on commentary… Let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Jay Lethal def. Jake Something
My Thoughts: It’s Jay Lethal. You should know my thoughts on him by now. As for his opponent, Jake Something was great in Impact so I had hoped he wouldn’t get jobbed out like this, even more so to someone like Jay Lethal. At least Jake was allowed to get some offence in and not just roll over like you’d expect Lethal to want his opponents to. And the post-match beatdown was unnecessary Imho.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Alex Reynolds def. Jake Manning
My Thoughts: Man-Scout Jake Manning made some impact in this one, even though the outcome was never ever in doubt.

Ishii ran into Cole with a running shoulder block, and Cole went outside of the ring to collect his thoughts. Cole came back into the ring and Ishii leveled him with a chop. Cole went back outside for another breather but Ishii followed him out there, dishing out more chops. Ishii charged at Cole and Cole moved, sending Ishii’s forearm crashing into the steel ring post! Match #1: Anna Jay def. Marina Tucker
My Thoughts: This was Anna Jay doing another of her squash matches, taking just over a minute to put Marina Tucker away with the Queen Slayer. Other than that there was nothing much to this one.

It’s time for this week’s review of Aew: Dark, which once again comes from Aew: Universal. I’m always surprised by how much difference there is between Aew’s smaller Universal Studios audience and Impact’s small weekly audience. Aew still seem to make it sound like the crowd is into the action even when they’re quiet.
Match #1: Lee Johnson vs. Darian Bengston
My Thoughts: This was decidedly average. The only thing that stood out about this match was the fact the crowd were behind Darian Bengston more than they were Lee Johnson. Maybe Big Shotty needs a reboot to get over with the fans?
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Sonny Kiss def. Ashton Starr

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features eight matches in less than an hour… now that’s how you keep folks interested, a stacked card and a fast pace! Speaking of pace, let’s get right into the review.
Match #1: Trios Match – Tay Conti, Anna Jay and Red Velvet def. Freya States, Angelica Risk, and Arie Alexander
My Thoughts: This was your typical Aew quasi-squash match only this time in a Trios format. Tay Conti looked strong on the outset until Freya States was tagged in… Speaking of whom, States looks formidable in the ring in terms of height against the other women in this match. She’d be a great addition to the women’s roster Imho, sitting somewhere between Aew’s smaller women and the powerhouses like Nyla Rose and Abadon. I’m hoping we see more from her going forward.

It’s Wednesday morning so you know what that means… It’s time for our review of this weeks Aew: Dark, which this week comes from Aew Universal. Let’s get right to it!
Match #1: Anthony Ogogo def. Marcus Kross
My Thoughts: You know what? I kind of liked Ogogo in Aew back before he left to have surgery over here in the UK. Now? Not so much. Now everything feels forced, everything feels like it’s scripted, like it’s a desperate attempt to get him back over with Aew fans – only as some sort of major heel. It’s not working. So much so that I was urging on Mr Dragonball himself, Marcus Kross, to kick Ogogo’s arse! He didn’t instead he got squashed and knocked out…
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Penelope Ford def. Angelica Risk
My Thoughts: This was better than I expected if I’m honest.

With Excalibur and Taz on comentary Jones as usual, let’s get to the review!
Match #1: Gunn Club def. Lee Johnson & Brock Anderson
My Thoughts: I have my issues with the Gunn Club, especially when they turned heel, but I have to give them credit here – they looked really good and made Anderson and Johnson look good too. This one was a real back and forth, so much so that you really couldn’t judge who wa going to win this one. The heels stole it (literally), which is a good thing as that leads to a possible rematch/feud going forward.

Cm Punk’s debut on “Aew: Rampage” on Friday night scored big in the television ratings.
According to Nielsen figures, Friday’s episode of “Rampage” drew 1.129 million viewers, 692,000 of which were in the adults 18-49 demographic. That represents a 0.53 rating in the key demo, the largest rating for any Aew program since the premiere of “Aew: Dynamite” in October 2019. It was also up 75% in the demo and 53% in total viewers compared to the debut episode of “Rampage” the week prior and was behind only the NFL in the demo on cable that night.
For comparison, Friday night’s episode of WWE’s “SmackDown Live” on Fox drew a 0.57 rating and 2.1 million viewers ahead of the company’s “SummerSlam” pay-per-view on Saturday.

Isiah Kassidy and Jungle Boy had a standoff. Marq Quen tagged in but Jungle Boy dropped him with an arm drag. He connected with a pin point accurate dropkick to Kassidy.

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark, which once again comes from Pittsburgh – a crowd who are so hot for Aew no matter the match Or the show! Makes a world of difference to hear an excited crowd during matches…
Match #1: 2.0 def. Skyler Andrews & Sam Adams
My Thoughts: Skyler Andrews & Sam Adams opened this match strongly, looking like they might have been headed for an upset but it was not to be… 2.0, who are on a hot streak in Aew after being released by WWE, got the win and are on a roll going into this weeks Dynamite.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Tay Conti def. Rebecca Scott
My Thoughts: This was a pretty good womens match, with the debuting Rebecca Scott looking good if a little green for TV. Conti had control for the majority of this match, looking dominant with her Dd-Tay finish.

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which emanates from Pittsburgh – as did most of last weeks Aew shows! The first show post-Rampage, this one has a lot to live up to. Keep the quality consistent guys!
Match #1: 2.0 (Matt Lee and Jeff Parker) vs. Duke Davis and Ganon Jones
My Thoughts: Good god Duke Davis and Ganon Jones are huge, putting 2.0 at a size disadvantage. But that didn’t stop the duo of Matt Lee and Jeff Parker, whose obvious experience offset the size and strength of Davis and Jones. Looking forward to hopefully seeing more of Duke Davis and Ganon Jones in Aew though.

My Thoughts: Once again Julia Hart showed a more vicious streak, foregoing the smiles in the latter half of the match – which makes sense when you’re facing Diamante, who we all...

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I thought of a better name for Impact…Glory Wrestling Combat. F–k you! It’s good! You’d call it Glory for short and it’d be a great way to remake Impact in the same vein as Pride, Bellator or Pancrase. You already have Bound For Glory, so the biggest show of the year now has a luster to it that it arguably didn’t have before, because it is the only show that has the name of the promotion in it. Shut up! It is so a good idea…or not. Whatever. F–k you. We have…wait…I forgot to write my Slammiversary review. Here’s the score for each match:

Havok whips Rosemary into the corner. Rosemary tosses Kiera across the ring with a suplex for two. Tasha hits a sliding dropkick on Rosemary, allowing Kiera to gain control. Tasha and Kiera cut off the ring, preventing Rosemary from making the tag.

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have…Don Callis is possibly done as Executive Vice President. Hey hey! Alright! Callis has been rumored to be a sexual predator for some time and has possibly been a predator at Impact. If Callis is in fact a good man of good stock then the possible loss of him at this level is only wanted due to the overall malaise that his run at the top of management has allowed. Impact, like All Elite Wrestling, feels like a league that just doesn’t know what it wants to be and that all falls to the people running the show. It’s funny seeing two promotions that are interesting yet faulty in a working agreement. Maybe two wrongs will make a right. I hope that Impact starts to get better. Well, let’s get right to it.

Match #1: Chris Sabin def. Rhino The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
The war between Impact and Vbd continues but the stakes are higher than ever as the winner will advance to the 6-Way #1 Contenders match at Under Siege. Deaner trips up Sabin from ringside just minutes into the match, giving Rhino the upper-hand. Both men are laid out after a clash of heads. Sabin quickens the pace with an Enzuigiri,...

Welcome to this week’s review of Impact Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Jazz is retiring on this show. I’m gonna miss Jazz. Jazz has been a favorite of mine since around 2002. She has been one of the most consistent wrestlers of the past…20 years? Has she been doing it that long at least? Jazz coulda been the World Champion. I woulda bought it. If Jazz ever wants to come out of retirement and go for the gold, I would be right there to enjoy that return. Well, I think we have an emotional show on hand and, with Josh Alexander fighting Tjp in the opener, a chance at a good show altogether. Well, let’s see what happens. Boom baby! I’m a f–kin’ tea cup!

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the big finale before No Surrender, which includes the contract signing between Tommy Dreamer and Rich Swann…a contract signing? Jesus. Wrestling promoters wonder why no one wants to watch wrestling anymore and it’s because of all the damn talking. Silly or serious, talking in wrestling doesn’t draw and never will. Wrestling is not acting, even though there is certainly some performing when you sell moves or have a character that is a bit different from you that you are portraying. You’d think that on an occasion where you are pushing a match of respect between a gracious champion and an honorable challenger, you’d want to tease that the match in question could be in jeopardy. By having a World Title match featuring Swann fighting a challenger...
