Chlöe has released a new single, “Boy Bye,” along with a desert-set music video for the track directed by C&p. The song, produced by Yeti Beats, Rogét Chahayed, Carter Lang, and Kurtis McKenzie, arrives on the heels of her March single “Fys.”
“‘Boy Bye’ is an anthem for anyone who needs to get rid of someone toxic and draining from their life,” the singer said in a statement. “It’s liberating and free. That’s how it feels to finally let go of dead weight that’s been keeping you down.

Taylor Swift receives the award for Best Pop Vocal Album at The 66th Annual Grammy Awards
Women absolutely dominated the 2024 Grammys, from winning the top awards to delivering the most memorial performances of the February 4th broadcast. Miley Cyrus took home her first-ever Grammy wins, while Taylor Swift made Grammy Awards history for the most Album of the Year wins ever.
Swift also made Swifties worldwide happy by announcing she’ll release her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19, 2024.
Tracy Chapman brought down the house with a stunning performance of “Fast Cars” alongside Luke Combs. Joni Mitchell earned a rousing ovation for her first performance on the Grammy stage, singing “Both Sides Now” while backed by Brandi Carlile, Allison Russell, Sistastrings, Lucius, Jacob Collier, and Blake Mills. And Celine Dion, who is suffering from stiff person syndrome, put in a surprise appearance as presenter of the Album of the Year award.

The 2024 Grammys are set to kick off soon and, while watching, you may be wondering about the differences between Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year.

Record of the Year is awarded to both the performer of the song, as well as the recording engineers who took part in the production of the song. The Record of the Year highlights the performance and the production of the song.
Song of the Year, however, is awarded to the writer of the song, not the artist that sings the song.
Album of the Year used to go to the artist, however, now it goes to the artist and producers, sound engineers, mixers, and songwriters.

This year the Grammys moved the Songwriter of the Year and Producer of the Year, Non-Classical categories into the general field. The way voting works, academy members are only allowed to vote in three fields besides general, and can only vote in 10 categories between those three fields. Songwriter of the Year was its own field when that award was introduced last year, and most members probably didn’t want to burn one of their three fields to vote for just one award. Now all voters can participate in these contests, hopefully generating a more representative list of who excelled behind the scenes. This year in particular has a diverse and exciting list of possible contenders in both categories, so let’s consider who might make the cut in the songwriting race.

Here he comes now, sauntering down the sidewalk in L.A.’s Westchester neighborhood, a few blocks from Lax — iced coffee in hand, friend by his side, and a Whitney Houston song on his mind. “I’m saving all my love for youuuu,” he hum-sings with effortless soul and a soft smile, a friendly giant at 6’5″. There were major changes in how these nominees were decided. Chief among those was the elimination of the nomination review committees. For decades those committees would take the top 15 or 20 vote-getters in their categories and decide which would be the final nominees. Those secret, anonymous panels often produced surprising results: this past year The Weeknd was shut out entirely. He decided to boycott the awards, joining in a chorus of music stars who have criticized the voting process. Some of the criticisms even came from inside the house,...

Omar Apollo put a new spin on the classic “California Dreamin'” as part of his entry into Spotify’s Singles series, where artists contribute a new version of one of their songs along with a cover of another artist.
The Mexican-American singer conjured up the same moodiness and mystique found in the Mamas & the Papas’ original, using a slightly different method: The sparse arrangement twists his echoing vocals around strumming acoustic guitar and a hissing organ. Apollo also included a chilled-out, downtempo version of his song “Go Away.”
