- Republican U.S. senator from Massachusetts. Appointed 8 February 1944, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Henry Cabot Lodge Jr., who had joined the U.S. Army to serve in World War II. Weeks served from 8 February 1944 to 19 December 1944, a successor (Leverett Saltonstall) having been elected; he was not a candidate for election to the vacancy.
