Kazi Zidane Mim (born 4 April 1999) is a Bangladeshi debutant filmmaker. Before his career in film, Mim was a software developer and video game creator, having developed over 20 Android apps and video games. He was known as the infamous hacker "Prosox and Kurois'h" on social media during that time. At that time, he made the world record for creating 11 apps in just one hour, which caught the attention of a big tech giant in the USA, who invited him to collaborate in the USA.
In 2017, Mim was detained in San Francisco, USA under witness protection as an apprentice of the international hacker group "Empress" due to suspicions of cyber security thefts and misconduct. In 2018, he retired from software development and pursued a career in filmmaking, working as a cinematographer, director, and actor. In his early days as a struggling filmmaker, he worked with the television news channel "ITV USA". His first break into filmmaking was as an assistant film director on the sports documentary film "10 State Cricket Tour by USACW," which featured Shakib Al Hasan, Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Saqlain Mushtaq, and Mohammad Azharuddin.
In 2019, he was offered the opportunity to collaborate with Jordi El Nino Polla on a film project while working in Hollywood, but he declined, which sparked major controversies against him. In 2020, he collaborated with Indian actor Debashis Roy on an experimental film project. In 2021, he announced his big collaboration with American Ghanaian actor Joseph Otsiman. But in 2022, the project was shelved due to various delays caused by the corona-virus pandemic.
Mim has a significant following in Narayanganj, Bangladesh, but he is interested to establish his filmmaking career in the western influenced countries like the USA, Canada, or Portugal.
In 2023, Zidane Mim won the Monstra 2023 honorary award for extraordinary contribution in the field of animation filmmaking with his A.I. animated film "Paradise Hell," which made him the creator of the world's first A.I. animated short film. His upcoming debut film "Paradise Hell" premiered at the 2023 Film Festivals in Lisbon, Portugal.
