- John Michael Phillips is an American lawyer, consumer and civil rights advocate, and legal commentator. He regularly comments in the news media and his cases are frequently the subject of news coverage and documentaries. He occasionally has acted and performed voice over work, but his work as a lawyer and legal consultant takes the time he has outside of being a father and husband. He is primarily known for being legal counsel for Joe Exotic, Omarosa Manigault Newman and the family of Jordan Davis. He has appeared in Tiger King and in the Emmy award winning film The Armor of Light. He is licensed to practice law in Florida, New York, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois and Washington, DC.

- During a trip to California, John decided to go on Let's Make A Deal. John dressed up as Alexander Hamilton as a tribute to Lin Manuel Miranda and Wayne Brady, who played Aaron Bur in the Chicago cast. They filmed John doing a rap, but it was cut from the final edit (Thankfully).

- In the late 1980's, MTV had a variety show called the Big Blank Show. You could call in nightly to a 1-900 number and win prizes and sometimes be patched through live to the host. As John's family owned the local telephone company and his family didn't get a phone bill, he'd call several times a night. He won a mountain bike and $2000. It was his first ever television experience.
