Born and raised in Kolkata, India, Abhijit's artistic inclination was evident from a young age. He delved into theatre, participating in workshops conducted by the prestigious National School of Drama and winning awards for his one-act plays in intercollegiate fests.
Abhijit's foray into the limelight started with the modeling world, where he achieved the title of Mr. Kolkata Runners in 1999 and represented the Eastern zone in the Grasim Mr. India pageant.
Transitioning to the role of a filmmaker, he ventured into writing and directing short films, ad films, and music videos, which gained international acclaim and secured numerous awards.
He is currently directing his debut feature film titled "Aadrika" scheduled to be released in 2024.
One of his crowning achievements was "The Rise," a film that garnered official selections in 44 international film festivals and earned 9 awards, including the Silver Hattie Award at the Anaheim FilmFest for Best Social Issue Film. Abhijit's dedication to storytelling led to the film finding a place on Zee5 channel, expanding its reach to a wider audience.
His filmography includes notable works like "Bruno" and "Noshtonir," both of which received significant recognition. He is also an MBA from Welingkars Institute of Management, PRINCE 2, Certified Scrum Master, and IASSC Certified 6 Sigma Black Belt.
