Matthew Findley, whose film Diversify was certified under the Diversity & Inclusion standards of Women in Film LA and the Sundance Institute, is an Appalachian filmmaker, originally from the Southeastern United States, who lived and worked in the Americas, Western Europe, Scandinavia, East Asia and Southeast Asia. Matt studied engineering at the University of Washington in Seattle, counseling at Ateneo de Manila University in Asia, and business at INSEAD in France & Singapore. Matthew attended film school at USC & UCLA in Los Angeles, trained theatrically (principally under the Yale technique), and wrote 12 screenplays, including American Ego, Raven Mocker, Physical Chemistry, Jupiter Julia, Rolling Thunder, Young Country, Grunge Chords, Traffic Hotel and Contest of Champions, as well as treatments for the John Coltrane biopic A Love Supreme, King James, Aniyunwiya (The Cherokee), Bluegrass State and The Loch Ness. Matt exited the entertainment industry in 2021.
