Universal has unveiled a brand new trailer and poster for ‘The House With A Clock In It’s Walls‘ and it looks absolutely delightful. Although we saw a teaser trailer for the film a few months back, this trailer does a wonderful job of selling the magical family adventure. The film Stars Owen Vaccaro as Lewis, a boy who goes to live with his uncle (Jack Black) in an old creaky house. After discovering that Black’s character is a Warlock and that the house is indeed magical, Lewis accidentally awakens the dead, thrusting the two into a magical adventure.
Directed by Eli Roth, the film seems to have a great mix of comedy, mysticism and heart. Considering that Roth is known for his more violent, R-rated material, ‘The House With A Clock In It’s Walls‘ is a very welcome change for Roth. Although the film could easily be too whimsical,...

I would have never thought that director Eli Roth (Hostel) would ever bring us a movie like The House with a Clock in its Walls. Why? Because it's a family-style horror film and he's mostly known for his bloody hardcore films. I'm not a big fan of his movies, but this one actually looks really good! I never thought I'd say this about an Eli Roth film, but... I can't wait to see this!
We've got a brand new trailer to share with you today for the movie and it's packed with lots of great new footage full of extremely fun and imaginative spooky goodness. Jack Black and Cate Blanchett star in the movie, which is based on book series by John Bellaire.

“We don’t know what it does except something horrible,” warns Jack Black’s Jonathan Barnavelt as the group works to destroy the hidden clock in the newly released trailer from the Eli Roth-directed film, The House with a Clock in Its Walls. “Three gongs. Last time it was for four. What happens when it gets down to one?” Jonathan ponders. “Nothing good that’s for certain,” says Mrs. Zimmerman, a witch and Jonathan’s neighbor, played by Cate Blanchett.
From Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, the magical adventure film follows of 10-year-old Lewis (Owen Vaccaro) who goes to live with his uncle in a creaky old house with a mysterious tick-tocking heart. When author John Bellairs first delivered the elevator pitch for his 1973 novel, The House With a Clock in its Walls, the genre mash-up was hailed as something of a gothic horror story designed specifically with child readers in mind.
And nowhere is this family-friendly plot more apparent than in the spooky first trailer for Universal’s big-screen adaptation, which comes to us by way of Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel) and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment – therein lies the intersection between shock horror and light-heartened fun for the whole family.
In saying that, you’d be forgiven for thinking that The House With a Clock in its Walls was actually Guillermo del Toro’s follow-up to his Oscar-winning efforts on The Shape of Water. Starring Jack Black (Goosebumps) and Cate Blanchett (Thor: Ragnarok), Eli Roth’s delightful adaptation tells the story of a young, recently-orphaned boy, played by Owen Vaccaro,...
