Mercedes Moné officially debuted for All Elite Wrestling (Aew) on Wednesday night and instantly changed the face of the company’s women’s division.
Moné, whose given name is Mercedes Varnado and is also known for her time in WWE as Sasha Banks, hit the ring in her hometown of Boston to a thunderous reception from the fans in attendance.
“It was unbelievable,” Moné told Variety. “I still haven’t gotten to take everything in yet, but my heart was just pounding out of my chest. Once I heard the beat drop in the music and the ‘CEO’ chants were on the screens, and then they revealed the ‘Mercedes Moné’ name, that eruption was so electric. I felt so cool. I felt like Stone Cold Steve Austin, when fans just lift up all their signs and stand up with their arms raised. I felt so cool. It was the best feeling in the world.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features just four matches – matching this week’s Elevation. Let’s see what went down…
Match #1: Matt Taven def. Brian Pillman Jr.
My Thoughts: An impressive opening match with Brian Pillman holding his own against the more experienced Taven – which I honestly did not expect. Pillman, in the few solo matches he’s had recently, has shown a new side to his character and seems to have come on leaps and bounds with his skills too.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Lee Johnson def. Blake Li
My Thoughts: It’s Lee versus Li in a squash match to the death… No, seriously, this was your typical Aew squash match. with Li getting at least one movie in before Lee took over and ended the match in swift fashion.

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features just matches this week. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary as usual. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Tony Nese and Ari Daivari def. Lane Summers and Campbell Myers
My Thoughts: This was an incredibly dull opening match and a squash match at that too. Nese and Daivari are, unfortunately, pretty much charisma-free and that doesn’t help their matches in the slightest; and with this match we didn’t even get any words from Mark Sterling to cover that fact up!

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features just seven matches (thankfully). Anyway, on with the review…
Match #1: Skye Blue def. Mylo
My Thoughts: We haven’t seen Mylo on Aew programming since September last year and unlike that appearance, where she was thoroughly squashed in a tag match against the Renegade Twins, here she manages to play a brilliant heel to Skye Blue’s babyface. And it’s something I’d be happy to see more of, maybe have the duo run this match back in the future?
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Brian Cage def. Bad Dude Tito
My Thoughts: It’s not often Brian Cage gets an opponent of his size and stature or an opponent who can hold his own against him, but that’s exactly what Bad Dude Tito did – even managing to get a 2-count on Cage at one point.

Match #1: Young Bucks def. Aussie Open
My Thoughts: After all the hoo-hah about Aussie Open not being signed by any company right now, it was great to see them appear on Aew programming again after their brief appearances alongside Will Ospreay and their entry into Wednesday’s Battle Royale. This match was a great start to this week’s Rampage, kicking things off in a hot style. One for pure wrestling fans that’s for sure… Which makes a pleasant change from the recent influx of “story” based action in Aew.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Tony Storm def. Willow Nightingale
My Thoughts: Always love seeing Willow Nightingale in action,...

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features seven matches on the card. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary as usual. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Juice Robinson def. Fuego del Sol
My Thoughts: Fuego del Sol going up against Juice Robinson? I’m not sure if Fuego has had a come-up or Robinson has had a step-down. But given Robinson’s high profile in Japan I didn’t expect him to be wrestling Any matches on YouTube for Aew… but hey, I don’t know everything. Still a decent match-up and Fuego at least is back working again – dude’s been missed Imho.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Athena def. Evelyn Carter
My Thoughts: Hmmmmm, let’s see, an Athena match on YouTube against enhancement talent (aka a jobber) what could the outcome be? Squash!

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dynamite, which was broadcast live from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. We’ve got Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz on commentary so let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Aew All-Atlantic Championship Match – Orange Cassidy def. Jay Lethal The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
It was announced that if Sonjay Dutt, Satnam Singh, and Jeff Jarrett were to interfere, Sonjay Dutt would be fired. Before the match began, they walked down the arena steps, kicked fans out of ringside seats, and then claimed them as their own. Danhausen was dressed as an usher and checked on their tickets. Danhausen signaled for Trent and Chuck Taylor to sit at ringside and take the seats. Trent and Chuck walked over holding cold beverages and popcorn. Lethal sent Orange Cassidy tumbling out to the floor. Jay Lethal slammed Orange’s spine...

Juice backed the champion into the ropes. Juice grappled Darby to the mat. Darby grabbed a side headlock on Juice, bringing Juice to the mat. Juice sat out with a senton but Darby lifted his knees into Juice’s spine. Juice hoisted up Darby, sending him crashing to the arena floor. Juice whipped Darby into the security railing. Juice rammed Darby into the steel ring steps. Darby fired back with a John Woo dropkick and then a tope suicida to Juice!

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features seven matches… Including a Women’s Roh title match! Anyway, on with the review.
Match #1: Juice Robinson def. Travis Williams
My Thoughts: Juice Robinson makes another appearance for Aew and faces some decent competition in Travis Williams. This was a well-paced, competitive, start to Dark.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Ruby Soho & Willow Nightingale def. Emi Sakura & Diamante
My Thoughts: The new team of Ruby Soho & Willow Nightingale get another outing, this time against the heel team of Emi Sakura & Diamante, who have worked together before and delivered each and every time. And the same is the case here, with Soho and Nightgale really gelling – I’d definitely like to see them stay together as a team for a while longer even though I’d like to see Willow Nightingale make her way up the singles scene too.

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which this week keeps the match count low, with only 7 matches on this week’s show – the last Elevation of 2022! We’ve got Paul Wight on commentary, so let’s get into the review.
Match #1: Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. Leva Bates and Karizma
My Thoughts: This felt very much like Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir going through the motions, as if this was either put together at the last minute or the duo were off their game – which is odd given how good they’ve been together recently. Still, a squash is a squash.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Julia Hart def. Promise Braxton
My Thoughts: Julia Hart gets another singles match and it’s another quick squash match to help build Hart into the kind of monster she needs to be as part of the House of Black.

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, this week features a mere Five matches! We’ve got Tony Schiavone and Paul Wight on commentary, so let’s get into the review.
Match #1: Emi Sakura def. Danni Bee
My Thoughts: Danni Bee got a couple of moves in before Emi Sakura took control and proceeded to squash Bee thoroughly. Though it’s a credit to Bee that the audience were firmly behind her, even though she stood no chance!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Matt Menard and Angelo Parker def. Warren Johnson and Zack Mason
My Thoughts: What the hell was this?! Bell rings, Menard and Paker get the pin. In Less than thirty seconds!! Strong booking for a team that haven’t been booked anywhere near as strong as this since joining the Jas.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #3: Willow Nightingale def. Vertvixen

Welcome to our review of this year’s Ring of Honor Final Battle pay-per-view, the latest PPV under the auspices of Tony Khan – a year after Roh’s future looked bleak during the last Final Battle show! Let’s see what went down…
Roh Final Battle – Zero Hour: Match #1: Jeff Cobb def. Mascara Dorada The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Mascara Dorada jumped off the ropes with a Mexican arm drag takeover on Cobb. Outside the ring, Cobb caught Dorada and smashed him into the steel ring post! Cobb went to work on the ribs and back of Dorada, trying to neutralize him. Dorada ducked a clothesline and hit Cobb with a spectacular tornillo over the top rope on Cobb! Dorada followed up with a springboard senton onto Cobb for a near fall! Cobb yanked Dorada off the top rope and squashed Dorada with a standing moonsault for a two-count.
