Sydney Sweeney’s career is on an upward trajectory, and she has quickly become a successful actress, establishing herself as someone to keep an eye out for. Sweeney has delivered back-to-back hits across platforms. From the Emmy award-winning show Euphoria to her recent film, Anyone But You, Sweeney has shown remarkable range as an actress. And now, with her new film Immaculate set to release soon, the star might just have another hit on her hands.
Sweeney has built up an impressive portfolio by starring in several popular shows and movies. She kicked off her career by acting in teen dramas such as Pretty Little Liars, but she truly grabbed the audience’s attention as the popular but problematic Cassie in Euphoria.
Sydney Sweeney has not limited her acting talents to just television shows, though. She was the star of Anyone But You, playing the lead alongside Glen Powell, and the movie was well-received.

Spanish actor Álvaro Morte has enjoyed more success on the small screen compared to movies. His career journey dates back to his college days when he abandoned telecommunications, opting to study drama at the Higher School of Dramatic Arts in Córdoba, Spain. He graduated from the school in 1999 and made his professional debut in 2002 as a diver and firefighter in two episodes of Hospital Central. Álvaro Morte, immortalized by his performance as the Professor in “Money Heist,” has inked a multi-year producing deal with Sony Pictures Television through his Madrid-based production company 300 Pistolas, which he founded alongside Blanca Clemente.
The accord sees 300 Pistolas, a theater company, making the transition into producing scripted TV, with Morte developing English-language scripted series exclusively with Spt, which he and Clemente will serve on as producers via 300 Pistolas.
Morte and Clemente will have access to Spt’s development teams. Spt will serve as exclusive production and distribution partner to any projects produced under the deal, Spt confirmed Wednesday.
Before “Money Heist,” Morte was best known for his role over 2014-17 in Spanish daily TV series “The Secret of Puente Viejo,” and was respected for 300 Pistolas, where he directed free versions of Spanish classics.

“Money Heist” star Alvaro Morte is attached to star in “Talkies,” from “Luis Miguel” producer Gato Grande, which will be presented at the Iberseries inaugural Co-Production & Financing Forum on Sept. 28.
“Talkies” covers the period between 1930 and 1934, an unusual time when foreign-language versions were shot on the same sets where the original English-language films were shot before dubbing or sub-titling technology existed.
Helmed by “Money Heist” director Alex Rodrigo and co-developed with Catalonia’s Veranda (“Merli”), the 8 x 45” series centers on the making of Spanish-language ‘talkies’ some of which, like the Spanish version of Bela Lugosi’s “Dracula,” were considered far superior. Morte will play the actor Carlos Villarias, who took on the Dracula role in the Spanish version.
“We’ve got 40 covered and are seeking partners from the U.S., Spain and/or Latin America to complete the financing,” said Maximiliano “Tate” Sanguine, VP of development & creative production at Gato Grande/MGM.
