Meme Kagga is a Ugandan Film Producer, Project Manager, Electrical Engineer and Line Producer. She studied in both Uganda and United Kingdom. She has a Masters Engineering (M.Eng) degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Management from The University of Birmingham, Birmingham, UK.
Meme's father is a prominent Engineer in Uganda. In addition to her father and maternal grandfather, four of her siblings are also Engineers.
Meme is a sister to Nana Kagga and is known as the more introvert and austere one.
Following her graduation, Meme worked in the United Kingdom for a number of prominent engineering companies including ATKINS, AECOM, Mouchel.
Meme was co-owner of a vintage and design resale store on Santa Monica Blvd called A Vintage Affair.
With her sister, Nana, they set up Savannah MOON, a content production business and have created and produced a full-length feature film The Life (2010) which was shown on M-NET, a TV Series Beneath the Lies which shows on Sundays on Urban TV and digitally distributed by MTN Uganda and a TV Program, How We See It. Still under Savannah MOON Meme has also co-produced a short film called The Last Breath with Kampala Film School. Meme, under Savannah MOON is working on developing several concepts and content including Taking Time, an upcoming TV Series.
Meme is a strong believer in the African potential. With her sister, Nana, Meme is also is keen on motivating young Africans under Nana's initiative, You Are Limitless (YAL), which aims to motivate, guide and encourage Africans, especially the youth to achieve their full potential.
Meme and Nana also manage and nurture actors and actresses through the brand, ACTA.Talent
Meme also works as a Manager for Projects Management for Kagga & Partners, one of Uganda's prominent engineering consultancy firms. She resides in Kampala, Uganda and is fluent in English and Luganda and basic knowledge of German and Swahili.
