New Delhi, March 22 (Ians) The Delhi High Court on Wednesday asked the city government to place before its new Group of Ministers (GoM) its order relating to payment of Rs 1 crore compensation to the wife of constable Amit Kumar, who died on duty during the first wave of Covid.

New Delhi, Feb 17 (Ians) Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday inagurated the 35th Garden Tourism Festival, being held at the Garden of Five Senses, by the Tourism Department.
The three-day festival will showcase over 300 species of plants. This year the Garden of Five Senses has been decorated as the ‘Garden of Unity’ for G20 by the Delhi Tourism Department.

New Delhi, Dec 24 (Ians) Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, on Saturday wrote to Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena seeking renewal of agencies providing free lab tests at the city government hospitals and mohalla clinics.
With their contracts ending on December 31, Sisodia has urged the L-g to decide on the matter soon.
“Contract for lab services in Delhi government hospitals and mohalla clinics ends on 31 December. A new contract needs to be signed immediately to enable new service providers to start working from January 1. It will cause huge inconvenience to the people if there is a gap,” Sisodia said.
Sisodia also said that Delhi government has completed all the formalities for awarding new contract.

New Delhi, Oct 26 (Ians) The Bhartiya Janata Party has hatched a conspiracy to stop the ‘Dilli ki Yogshala’ programme from November 1, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Wednesday.
“They (Bjp) are troubling the officials by suspending them or putting pressure on them… They have put pressure on the officials to stop the yoga classes,” he said at a press meet.
“I have spoken with the Chief Minister in this regard and he has assured that the yoga classes must continue as it benefits around 17,000 families of Delhi,” Sisodia said.
“I sent the file to the Chief Minister and he has approved this… that the free yoga classes should not be stopped in any way. After Cm’s approval, I have sent the file to LG Vk Saxena for his approval.”
Sisodia said that he was hopeful of getting approval from the LG. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself promotes yoga across the globe.
