Apple has unveiled the ensemble cast for Surface, its upcoming psychological thriller series from High Fidelity co-creator and exec producer Veronica West. Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Emmy nominee Stephan James, Ari Graynor, François Arnaud, Oscar nominee Marianne Jean Baptiste and Millie Brady join previously announced Gugu Mbatha-Raw in the series produced by Apple Studios and Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine.
Additionally, Emmy-nominated Sam Miller will serve as director and executive producer on the eight-episode first season.
Starring Mbatha-Raw as Sophie, Surface is an elevated thriller about a woman’s quest to rebuild her life after a suicide attempt, and her struggle to remember – and understand – everything that led up to the moment when she jumped.

BAFTA award-winning director and Emmy nominee Sam Miller has been tapped to direct Apple TV Plus’ upcoming psychological thriller “Surface” starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw (“Loki”) and created by Veronica West (“High Fidelity”).
