Alfonso José Alvarez was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He is an artist manager and educator who is the co-founder of Street Dwellaz Promotions. Alvarez began his career in the music industry over 20 years ago. He began as a record promoter in Miami, FL. His company Street Dwellaz Promotions assisted in gaining airplay in Miami for hip-hop acts such as Cam'ron, Wyclef, Eminem and Busta Rhymes. He went on to work at Priority Records where he realized his true passion was managing artists. His first opportunity at artist management came when Rob Campman (formerly Southstar), a member of his Street Dwellaz team, was being offered a record deal. Once Southstar teamed up with Smilez, they went on to become Smilez & Southstar, and had a top 10 single called "Tell Me". As he worked with Smilez & Southstar, he began to notice the reggaeton movement coming out of Puerto Rico. Even though the genre was new to him, he believed in the buying power of the Latino community and began managing a bilingual group called Cnote. Their journey was documented in the web series Cnote: Breaking the Band.
After years of being on the road, Alfonso decided it was time to pursue another passion, education. His son, Christopher "Tito JustMusic" Trujillo, had attended F.I.R.S.T. Institute in Orlando, FL. Alfonso reached out to the owners of F.I.R.S.T. Institute and became the Director of Career Development for the school. He began teaching music/video production students techniques they could use to start their careers in the entertainment industry. It was while teaching his course, he became inspired to begin managing artists again. During this time his son, Christopher "Tito JustMusic" Trujillo, engineered 7 songs on the Ariana Grande "Dangerous Woman" album. The album was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance for the 2017 Grammy Awards. With the success Chris was gaining as an audio engineer and producer, it was only natural for Alfonso and Tito JustMusic to team up again and continue a journey which started when Chris was in grade school.
