Paul is responsible for BBC Studios' overall sales and distribution strategy, key customer management and the company's international channels and services. Based in New York, he has the regional leads for Americas, Australia & New Zealand, Asia, Western Europe and CEMA (Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa) all reporting into him.
Formerly President, Global Markets, Paul was Interim CEO of BBC Worldwide before Tim Davie took up the position of CEO in April 2013. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of BBC Worldwide's Consumer Products division with a remit leading the global video publishing business, merchandise licensing operations, music licensing and publishing, direct-to-consumer retail business and book publishing partnerships.
Paul joined BBC Worldwide in 1998 as UK Sales Director and became Managing Director of BBC Audiobooks in 2002, then Director of BBC Worldwide's Audio & Music business in 2006. Before joining BBC Worldwide his background in sales and marketing included eight years at Mars Confectionery.
