A man has been arrested and charged with arson for allegedly burning a 50-foot tall Christmas tree outside the Fox News headquarters in New York City.
According to a New York Police Department spokesperson, a 49-year-old homeless man named Craig Tamanaha was charged Wednesday morning at 12:23 a.m. for arson, criminal trespassing, criminal tampering, criminal mischief, endangering others, disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment. At 12:14 a.m., he was spotted by Fox News Channel security guards climbing the Christmas tree outside their office on the corner of West 48th Street and Sixth Avenue in Midtown.
Fdny firefighters put out the blaze within the tree without further injury or incident. Upon arrest, police officers found a lighter on Tamanaha, but it’s unclear if any accelerant was used. There were no injuries during the incident, and the NYC Fire Marshall is working to determine a cause of the fire as the investigation is ongoing.

Crowns and sashes weren’t the only accessories on display Monday as 51 masked hopefuls assembled in Memphis to compete for the title of Miss USA.
Broadcast live on Fyi, the refreshingly self-aware pageant kicked off with some banter between hosts Akbar Gbaja-Biamila and Allie Laforce, who joked that Miss USA has been “dominating the news cycle” this week. “You can’t even turn on the news without hearing about Arizona, Michigan — all fierce competitors,” Laforce noted.

“Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace got personal in a new episode of “Ride to Work” that aired Friday, revealing his inner monologue before moderating a 2016 general election debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump and talking about the time he did a radio broadcast from jail.
Wallace told Abby Hornacek, who hosts the show on Fox News’ streaming platform Fox Nation, about moderating the debate in Las Vegas three years ago: “I had done a lot of presidential debates, but they were Republican primary debates. This is a general election debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. And, you know, when you’re doing one of the presidential general election debates, it’s a big deal. I was also the first Fox person ever to be asked to do it and, in my case, the audience was 80 million people. I have to tell you, there were times when the...

If you’ve seen coverage of Fox Nation and wondered how it differs from Fox News, executives have heard you. A new 20-second ad outlining the differences between Fox News and its subscription streaming service will air during the Super Bowl on Feb. 2.
The spot, titled “Celebrating America,” sees a producer running from a Fox News control room to find talent who can cover breaking news. When he runs into the green room, he finds Fox Nation talent, Marilyn Monroe, a firefighter and a bald eagle.
“This is actually the Fox Nation green room,” says Abby Hornacek, who hosts the travel-themed Fox Nation show “Park’d,” along with the streaming service’s “American Arenas” — which goes inside sports venues — and “The Ride to Work.”

The Fox Nation streaming-video service has long been touted as a new option for super-fans of the Fox News Channel. But some of the broadband hub’s new programming choices suggest adherents of “Fox & Friends” and Sean Hannity aren’t looking solely for chatter about politics and interviews with members of the Trump administration.
Subscribers to the service have recently been notified they can gain access to old TV holiday programs, such as a “Johnny Cash Christmas Special” or “Happy Holidays with Bing and Frank,”which appears to be video selection from the 1950s, when Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra visited an old castle in England.

Fox News is so pleased with the first year of its subscription streaming service Fox Nation that the network is setting bigger goals for the platform to appeal to both hardcore fans of the cable giant as well as newbies.
The company has not released subscription or revenue figures, but Fox Nation head John Finley told TheWrap the service has surpassed internal projections for sign-ups and trumpeted its 80% trial-to-subscription rate — higher than the industry standard — and a low churn rate of people unsubscribing.
Moreover, the service has added thousands of hours of content from Fox News regulars like Bret Baier Kat Timpf, Tomi Lahren and Judge Andrew Napolitano as well as an increasing amount of programming that might seem to fall outside the network’s wheelhouse. That includes Brian Kilmeade’s history show “What Made America Great,” travel series like Abby Hornacek’s “Park’D,” Ed Henry’s sports-themed “Front...

President Donald Trump’s unorthodox July 4th event will feature a speech by the Commander-in-Chief, jet planes and even tanks. What it won’t have, most likely, is traditional wall-to-wall coverage from the nation’s news outlets.
Fox News Channel is setting aside two hours that can be used to televise President Donald Trump’s “Salute to America,” expected to take place 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Memorial. C-span will televise it as well. But MSNBC executives plan to monitor the event as it takes place and could decide to run clips if warranted, according to a person familiar with the matter. CNN, which did not respond to a query seeking comment, usually has personnel at the ready to interrupt pre-taped programming in case news warrants a live broadcast.
Trump’s holiday celebration would take place during an MSNBC hour usually anchored by Ari Melber and during CNN’s early-evening “Situation Room.
