Daria Bitsiuk

Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Daria Bitsiuk began playing the piano at the age of six. A graduate from the Royal Northern College of Music, under the tutelage of Professor Norma Fisher, she also holds a Master of Music diploma from the same conservatoire.
Daria has performed extensively in solo and chamber music recitals, as well as with orchestra, in the UK, Ukraine, Portugal, Sweden and China. Daria has performed in numerous masterclasses with distinguished pianist-pedagogues such as Vovka Ashkenazy, Ying Wu, Stephen Hough, Andras Schiff, Vadim Rudenko, Michel Beroff and Stefano Fiuzzi.
In 2008, she received her Middle Education Certificate in Piano Performance from the Lysenko Special Music School where she studied with Nadezhda Archimovich and after she studied two years at the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music, under the tutelage of Professor Yuriy Kot.
She has been awarded the Grand Prize in the 2006 Ukrainian Competition for Young Pianists, the Diploma of Distinction in the 2007 International Young Pianist's Competition in Italy, First Prize in the Verykovskaya Piano Competition (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004), as well as major prizes in the 2004 Golden Grain Piano Competition, Kiev.
In addition to her numerous solo performances throughout Kiev, Daria has performed chamber music with various ensembles and accompanied numerous vocal recitals, including Incantia Duo, with mezzo-soprano Chloe Latchmore.
