Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, and Tyler, the Creator are set to headline the 2021 Day N Vegas festival, which will take place November 12th through 14th at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.
Lamar’s set was billed in a press release as his only live performance of 2021. The billing on the festival poster also suggests Lamar’s performance will be a retrospective of sorts, rather than a chance to debut or tease any long-awaited new music (“From Section.80 to Damn,” the poster reads, referencing Lamar’s first and latest album).

Beast Coast — the hip-hop collective featuring Flatbush Zombies, Pro Era (Joey Bada$$, Kirk Knight, Nyck Caution, Cj Fly, Powers Pleasant) and the Underachievers — tap into a reggae vibe with their laid-back new song “Snow in the Stadium.”
Producer Erick The Architect weaves the numerous verses between his smooth R&B vocal hook. In his early section, Bada$$ reflects on his roots: “Remember way back, I ain’t have no funds/Now I lay back with a bad little something,” he rhymes over a spacey guitar riff and glimmering beats. “And it all makes sense,...

Flatbush Zombies recruited the University of Southern California Trojan Marching Band for a brassy, electrifying rendition of “Headstone” during the Brooklyn rap trio’s visit to The Late Late Show.
Making their first late-night appearance in three years, Flatbush Zombies revisited the first single off their 2018 album Vacation in Hell with help from the “Spirit of Troy” collegiate band that famously added horns and percussion to Fleetwood Mac’s “Tusk” back in 1979. At the 3:30-mark of the performance, host James Corden is spotted dancing along at the side of the stage.

Sacha Jenkins' Word Is Bond celebrates the art of lyricism in hip-hop at a time when the genre's mainstream is mostly focused elsewhere: on bunker-busting beats, on beguiling melodies, on Spotify playlist selection. This film is heavy on interviews with hip-hop veterans, including rap royalty like Nas, Rakim and Big Daddy Kane; a few newer artists also make an appearance, notably Flatbush Zombies and Anderson .Paak. Between interviews, pencil-on-paper drawings appear to happen on-screen in real time, providing a pleasing visual companion to each rapper's words. Here are eight...
