Nina Allimann was born in 1995 in Seine Saint-Denis. She went to high school in Rambouillet, where she obtained her « French baccalauréat » in econo-mic and social sciences with honors in 2013. Fascinated by the arts, she learned to draw, play the guitar and the piano, and then integrated the In-ternational Institute of Image and Sound (3iS) in 2013, before specializing in directing from 2015 till 2016.
While at 3iS she made her first short film which denounced the moral ha-rassment in schools : " Les Ecorchés ". She then did an internship in television and in production, where she discovered the jobs of continuity girl, televi-sion director and production assistant.
Influenced by the cinema of Kechiche and the Dardenne brothers, she made the third episode of a social mini-series of 4 episodes of 10 min, « Les Insurgés de Marax » for her 2nd year project.
In 2015, she turned to a more experimental and independent cinema, and co-wrote and shot "Borders", her short film for the end of her studies, for whom she will have directed a research based mini-documentary
