Exclusive: Post Malone and A Quiet Place Platinum Dune producers Michael Bay and Brad Fuller’s are partnering with Vault Comics to create an all-new IP universe based on an original story by the nine-time diamond recording artist.
This continues a hot streak for Post Malone, who recently made history with the first ever RIAA-certified Double-Diamond single, mesmerized audiences with his pre-Super Bowl performance of “America the Beautiful” and had a role in Amazon MGM Studios’ Road House, which was the most viewed original film launch ever on Prime Video.
Blending elements of road thrillers like Mad Max: Fury Road, and demonic horror like Evil Dead, Post Malone’s story is set in medieval Europe, where the only thing standing in the way of the horde of demons infesting the continent is a mysterious armored 18-wheeler seemingly sent back from the heavens.

Taylor Swift and Post Malone Were in the ‘Tortured Poets Department’ Together Way Before ‘Fortnight’
Throughout her career, Taylor Swift has landed 232 songs on the Billboard Hot 100. Included in that are the 49 songs that broke into the Top 10. Within that, 11 topped the chart. Despite having an inescapable presence in pop for over a decade, there’s one artist’s record in particular that sparked envy in her. “‘Better Now’ is so insane,” she told Post Malone when she passed him backstage at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. “I’m so jealous of that song — that hook.” Last year, in an interview with Howard Stern, Malone recalled the interaction,...

Justin Timberlake is fighting the current on his latest single “Drown,” the follow-up track to “Selfish” from his upcoming album Everything I Thought It Was.
The song — co-written and co-produced by Timberlake, Louis Bell, Cirkut, Kenyon Dixon, and Amy Allen — delivers another heartbreak anthem from the artist. Backed by moody beats, he sings the chorus, “Got caught up in the tide of all the tears you cried/Yeah, you know I was blinded by my heart, sinking from the start/Should’ve never followed you this far/Now I’m in the deep end,...

It’s “America the Beautiful” but with a twist.
During Sunday’s Super Bowl Lviii pregame festivities, Post Malone performed a soft, acoustic rendition of “America the Beautiful.”
Sporting a brown blazer and light washed jeans, the rapper and singer sang the lyrics to the iconic anthem in a melodic tone. Singing through his grills, Malone displayed his vocal range as he also strummed along on his guitar. In the history of the GDMAs thus far, Swift is the only artist who has won Artist of the Year. She’s also the only artist who has won Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Justin Timberlake has dropped the music video for his new song, “Selfish,” ahead of a musical guest appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
The R&b-inspired video, directed by Bradley J. Calder, pulls back the curtain on Timberlake’s production process as he is seen seemingly in rehearsals on a soundstage as the line between the vulnerable artist and person blurs.
Timberlake starts off in casual clothing before upgrading to a black suit, where he fills a spotlight as he dances and sings alone on a dark stage. “Baby you got such a hold on me / So if I get jealous, I can’t help it / I want every bit of you / I guess I’m selfish,” Timberlake croons.
Midway through the video, Timberlake spots a brightly lit doorway that leads to a dollhouse-sized office he has difficulty navigating. At the end of the trailer, and after repeating the...

As expected, Justin Timberlake dropped his new single and video “Selfish” today, just ahead of tonight’s appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon and two days before his appearance as musical guest on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
The single is the first from his upcoming, long-in-coming album Everything I Thought It Was. The album, set for a March 15 release by RCA, is his first since Man of the Woods in 2018.
“I worked for a long time on this album and I ended up with 100 songs,” Timberlake says in a promotional interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, released today to coincide with the single’s debut. “So narrowing them down to 18 was a thing, and then, yeah, I’m really excited about this album. I think every artist probably says this, but it is my best work.”

Somewhere out there, there is an unfinished song by Post Malone based on his idol Bob Dylan’s lyrics, according to a new report from Rolling Stone.
In a lengthy interview with the magazine, producer Michael Cash revealed the track was intended for a collection of Dylan songs inspired by the 2014 T Bone Burnett-produced album, Lost on the River: The New Basement Tapes, which saw the likes of Marcus Mumford, Jim James, and Elvis Costello recording songs based on newly uncovered Dylan lyrics. Cash’s vision was to create his own album featuring songs recorded by rappers Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, as well as the hip-hop-influenced Malone, a well-known Dylan fan.
According to Cash, Dylan’s representative, Jeff Rosen, responded to his pitch about collaborating with Malone by teasing that Dylan had “something in mind that he wants to craft specifically for this,” though a source close to...

With artificial intelligence currently front and center across the creative community, YouTube has published a set of AI music principles and launched something it’s calling the YouTube Music AI Incubator with a group of artists, songwriters and producers from Universal Music Group.
The principles, which the giant Alphabet/Google-owned platform said “are rooted in its commitment to collaborate with the music industry alongside bold and responsible innovation in the space” are three. They were developed with Umg chairman-ceo, Sir Lucian Grainge, and shared today by YouTube CEO Neal Mohan.
They include: a commitment to embrace AI responsibly in partnership with the music industry; protections “that help balance the interests of copyright holders with those of the creative community on YouTube”; and scaling up safeguards to AI-generated content to address challenges like trademark and copyright abuse, misinformation, spam.

YouTube thinks it can take an ethical, “artist-centric” approach to generative AI.
In partnership with Universal Music Group, it’s introducing a “Music AI Incubator,” which CEO Neal Mohan says will help it “gather insights” to “better understand how these technologies can be most valuable for artists and fans, how they can enhance creativity, and where we can seek to solve critical issues for the future.”
The incubator will bring in Umg and artists/producers on its roster, including Anitta, Björn Ulvaeus, d4vd, Don Was, Juanes, Louis Bell, Max Richter, Rodney Jerkins, Rosanne Cash, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, Yo Gotti, and the estate of Frank Sinatra.
YouTube gave no specific details about what it’s working on with the incubator, but Mohan says it’s developing “specific technologies, monetization opportunities, and policies”–all related to AI.
Mohan also claims YouTube’s potential use of generative AI is guided by ethical principles.

Post Malone has always ricocheted between genres, but his new single “Chemical” — which he co-wrote with Andrew Watt, Billy Walsh, and Louis Bell — takes the rap-rocker all the way into upbeat, sentimental pop. Watch the video above.

His last single, which peaked at number-three on the Billboard Hot 100, was literally called “I Like You (A Happier Song).” And while “Chemical” has a sunny sound, it still tackles darker material with lyrics about being trapped in a toxic relationship: “You break me, then I break my rules / Last time was the last time too / It’s f*cked up, I know, but I’m still / Outside of the party smoking in the car with you.”

Tate McRae has mastered the art of making bad decisions. On her latest single, “Uh Oh,” the Canadian pop star runs through the cyclical nature of a complicated relationship that both she and her friends have down to a science.
It goes something like this: McRae swears off her situationship, then becomes a little intrigued by the slate of texts and missed calls. From there, one thing leads to another, and – once she’s had a few drinks – she finds herself right back where she started: heading back to their place.

The 2022 Grammy Awards broadcast wrapped up with an upset victory of sorts, with Jon Batiste beating out the likes of Taylor Swift and Kanye west to take home Album of the Year for his excellent “We Are.”
That was his fifth win of the night, following four wins during the “Premiere Ceremony,” where all of the awards not deemed cool enough for television were handed out, hosted by the always wonderful Levar Burton.
Batiste also accomplished a rather ignominious milestone for the Grammy Awards themselves: He’s the first Black artist to win Album of the Year since Herbie Hancock back in 2008. You read that right: It’s literally been 14 years and 3 presidents since the Academy recognized the work of Black artists with this honor. And in case you’re wondering, the only nonwhite artist to win Best Album during that time was Bruno Mars in 2018.

SEEEverything to know about Grammys 2022
There were major changes in how these nominees were decided. Chief among those was the elimination of the nomination review committees. For decades those committees would take the top 15 or 20 vote-getters in their categories and decide which would be the final nominees. Those secret, anonymous panels often produced surprising results: this past year The Weeknd was shut out entirely. He decided to boycott the awards, joining in a chorus of music stars who have criticized the voting process. Some of the criticisms even came from inside the house,...

The Kid Laroi earned his first Number One on the Rolling Stone Top 100 Songs chart with “Stay,” featuring a verse from Justin Bieber. The single, which was co-written by Charlie Puth and Blake Slatkin (24kgoldn’s “Mood”), among others, contrasts the Kid Laroi’s hoarse urgency with Bieber’s airy delivery; it picked up 30.8 million streams opening week. “Stay” builds on the success of the Kid Laroi’s breakout hit, “Without You,” another Slatkin co-write, which came out late last year.

If you weren’t paying attention yesterday when the Grammy Award nominations were announced, something interesting happened. By the time “It’s Nice to Have a Friend” arrives on Lover, her seventh and most epic album, Taylor Swift has entered uncharted territory. For one thing, it’s the 17th song here, and none of her previous albums have run more than 16 tracks. (Lover actually contains 18.) More importantly, it’s not about being 16 or 22 or even her not-insignificant current age, 29. It’s about being six or seven, and walking home from school in the snow: “Lost my gloves / You give me one / Wanna hang out? / Sounds like fun.
