Al Qually was born in New Jersey and is of Caucasian and Vietnamese descent. He was attracted to the arts at an early age. Art and drawing was his first passion, but he fell deeply in love with music and film in his teenage years. Al taught himself how to play guitar at 14 and was awarded the John Philips Sousa Award the year he graduated high school for his musicianship. This led to pursuing a degree in Audio Engineering in college where he supported Keith Richards and Eric Clapton among many other legendary performers in recording sessions.
A couple of years after graduating with honors with an Associate's Degree in Music Technology, Al discovered Los Angeles, CA and was immediately drawn to its opportunities and culture. From 2003 to 2007, he performed with several hip hop groups and bands - must notably with "Requisite" as main composer/writer and lead vocalist where they shared the stage with E-40, The Ataris, Adema, and other major label recording acts in various venues as well as headlining their own shows and charitable events.
From 2007-2017, Al has worked on a multitude of projects with incredible talent from Los Angeles, NJ and NYC - writing, recording, and performing with John Blake, Charles Only Flartey, Anton Major, The Production Band, Neal Sehgal, BBR Productions and volunteered at Rooftop Films and other organizations to give back to the community and promote the Arts. In addition, he has performed overdubs as a voice actor at NYC Buttons Studios, appeared in music videos, short films, and web/TV series, as well as modeled for various projects. Currently residing in Queens NYC, Al is now about to embark on a full attack to conquer the Media and Art World and contribute as much as he can to entertain and enrich the lives of all he can reach.
