Kate Atkinson’s bestselling 2013 novel “Life After Life” has been brought to vivid life as a four-part BBC series by a heavyweight team.
The story centers on Ursula Todd who dies one night in 1910 before she can draw her first breath. On that same night in 1910, Ursula is born and survives. She finds herself time and again, living and dying in different circumstances only to be reborn into a new, alternative iteration of life once more. Ursula navigates her way through an era spanning two world wars, an encounter with Hitler and major life events.
At just 21, Thomasin McKenzie, who plays Ursula, already has a list of impressive credits including “Leave No Trace,” “Jojo Rabbit” and “Last Night in Soho.” The four-part series is produced by BBC Studios’ House Productions, run by co-CEOs Juliette Howell, Emmy and Rts nominee for “Brexit: The Uncivil War,” and Tessa Ross, BAFTA winner for outstanding British contribution to cinema,...

[Warning: The following contains spoilers for Killing Eve’s Season 4 premiere, “Just Dunk Me.”] After three seasons of inventive murder, fabulous outfits and a whole lot of unresolved tension, Eve (Sandra Oh) and Villanelle’s (Jodie Comer) story is almost at an end. But perhaps the largest question lingering over Season 4’s final eight episodes — well, other than whether ‘Villaneve’ finally acts on several seasons’ worth of slow-simmering tension — is whether the central duo will live past the end credits. Here, we speculate on the fates of the assassin and the ex-MI6 agent as they approach their final deadly adventure. Killing Eve isn’t known for its feel-good aura. While there’s plenty of black humor, it is, after all, a show about murder. Beloved and innocent characters, like Kenny (Sean Delaney) — who never did anything wrong in his life, ever — and Bill (David Haig) — who was too good for this world — die in awful ways.

People like Eve (Sandra Oh) and Villanelle (Jodie Comer) aren’t made for happy endings, according to the new trailer for BBC America’s hit drama, “Killing Eve.”
The BBC America hit drama series returns for its fourth and final season on Sunday, Feb. 27, and it’s clear that intelligence agent Eve and assassin Villanelle certainly can’t quit each other just yet — even after vowing to never see each other again at the end of season three.
“I killed two people last night after I tried really hard not to,” Villanelle says during a therapy session in the trailer.
Similarly, Eve finds shooting someone in the hand seductive. Are they two sides of the same coin?
“Eve and Villanelle, having left each other in total turmoil on Tower Bridge at the end of season 3, are thrown into season 4 trying to figure out what they mean to each other and...

The following contains spoilers for Killing Eve season 3 episode 8.
Killing Eve season 3 opens with about as bold a declaration of intent as possible. Episode 1 “Slowly Slowly Catchy Monkey” did the unthinkable and killed off Kenny Stowton (Sean Delaney), former MI6 agent, son of Carolyn Martens (Fiona Shaw), Tottenham Hotspur fan, and irrepressible lover of bare legs.
It was a tragic moment for Killing Eve and one that set up the entire season to come. It also led to this truly charming photo of Sean Delaney admiring his own casket:
But that’s neither here nor there. What’s important is that Killing Eve season 3 was duty-bound to answer the question of “Who killed Kenny?” before season’s end. And in the season finale, titled “Are You Leading Or Am I?” Killing Eve does answer that question…kind of. For while there is still some room for gray misinterpretation of the event,...

Kenny Stowton (Sean Delaney) was brutally killed off by a mystery assassin as he continued his investigation of The Twelve.
Eve (Sandra Oh) arrived to meet her friend at his place of work, and instead of finding him, she found his phone.
A body flew past the window from above, and Eve rushed down to investigate. Unfortunately, Kenny was dead, leaving Eve to question who carried out the killing.
Killing Eve Season 3 showrunner Suzanne Heathcote opened up to Entertainment Weekly about the controversial decision, explaining that it was essential to the overall plot of Season 3.

Spoiler Alert: Do not keep reading f you have not watched the Season 3 premiere of “Killing Eve.”
Oh my God, they killed Kenny! You bastards!
Talk about a shocking, tragic way to kick off Season 3 of “Killing Eve.” Kenny Stowton (Sean Delaney), the former MI6 tech whiz — and son to spy boss Carolyn Martens (Fiona Shaw) — was killed at the end of the show’s season opener. But by whom, we don’t yet know (although we can start to speculate).
After the disastrous end of Season 2, which left Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) near death at the hands of Villanelle (Jodie Comer) and estranged from Carolyn, the show’s characters scattered. Eve was essentially hiding out by working in the kitchen at a Korean restaurant, Villanelle somehow tricked an unsuspecting woman into marrying her, and Carolyn was essentially demoted, with a new boss.
As for Kenny, he was no longer...

BBC America’s critical and fan darling Killing Eve is returning for a third season! Of course, there wasn’t even time for doubt, since the Killing Eve Season 3 announcement was made in April at the AMC Networks Summit (BBC America is co-owned by AMC and BBC Studios), only one day after the second season premiere. Interestingly enough, the network continued its preemptive renewal strategy in January 2020, giving an early order for Season 4!
Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, and Fiona Shaw star in the series that follows MI6 operative Eve (Oh) as she tracks psychopathic assassin Villanelle (Comer)—or is it the other way around? It is based on Luke Jennings’ Codename Villanelle book series.

Great news “Killing Eve” fans, AMC has announced it is moving up the season 3 premiere by two weeks.
The acclaimed Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer series will now debut its third season on Sunday, April 12. The move comes as networks, cablers and streamers all contend with the programming and scheduling nightmare being caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
AMC, for instance, was forced to suspend production on both “The Walking Dead” and “Fear the Walking Dead,” meaning a substantial zombie-shaped hole will likely need to be filled in the network’s schedule.
“We know how adored this series is and we know how keen people are for great content right now,” said Sarah Barnett, president of AMC Networks Entertainment Group and AMC Studios. “This season of ‘Killing Eve’ digs deep psychologically, and with actors like Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer and Fiona Shaw the results are nothing short of astonishing. “Killing Eve” is the latest show to see its new season’s premiere date moved around amid production shutdowns and delays for other series due to the coronavirus pandemic. The third season of the Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh-led drama will now premiere two weeks earlier than previously scheduled, AMC Networks announced Friday.
“Killing Eve” Season 3, which was set to launch Sunday, April 26, will now debut Sunday, April 12 at 9/8c on BBC America and AMC. As had been previously announced, all eight episodes of the new season will be simulcast on both cable channels.
For AMC, “Killing Eve” will be filling the hole “The Walking Dead” has left in the network’s schedule, following the announcement that post-production could not be completed on the zombie apocalypse show’s Season 10 finale, so it will now air later this year as a special.

Exclusive: Numan Acar, who appears in the upcoming Spider-Man: Far from Home, is set to play opposite Sam Worthington and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in Seacole, the Charlie Stratton-directed indie based on the true-life story of Mary Seacole.
Acar was most recently seen in Disney’s live-action Aladdin remake and is currently shooting the last season of Homeland after spending four seasons on the Showtime series.
Seacole follows Mbatha-Raw as Mary Seacole, a pioneering Jamaican nurse who became known during the Crimean War for her care of wounded British soldiers. Seacole’s self-sacrifice on the front lines and fierce, adversarial relationship with Florence Nightingale during the war made her famous in her time.
Acar will play The Pasha, a high-ranking officer in the Turkish army, a lover not a fighter who helps Mary build her hotel.
Sylvia Hoeks and Sean Delaney also co-star.
Dianne Houston and Marnie Dickens co-wrote the script with Stratton.

Producer Billy Peterson has formed a new production company, Racing Green Pictures, and announced production on “Seacole,” his first feature with the banner.
The film will star Gugu Mbatha-Raw (“Belle”) and Sam Worthington (“Avatar”). It centers on a Mary Seacole, a pioneering Jamaican nurse who cared for wounded British soldiers during the Crimean War and found herself at odds with Florence Nightingale.
Racing Green Pictures says it is looking to back prestige films, many of which will have strong social messages. Peterson, the producer of the documentary “Shenandoah” and the dramedy “Ping Pong Summer,” also founded and led several film related entities such as Epic Match Media.
Along with Mbatha-Raw and Worthington, the cast includes Sylvia Hoeks (“Blade Runner: 2049”) and Sean Delaney (“Killing Eve”). [Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers for “Killing Eve” Season 2, Episode 3, “The Hungry Caterpillar.”]
Only on “Killing Eve” can a dangerous blade hidden in lipstick be interpreted as a love note. In the final moments of Sunday’s episode, MI6 agent Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) cuts herself using the doctored lipstick left in her purse by killer Villanelle (Jodie Comer). The name of the lip shade, Love in an Elevator, not only connects Villanelle to a recent assassination in a lift, but reflects her mindset is still firmly focused on Eve. The pain and blood caused by the knife isn’t a threat; it’s a bloody, coded kiss.
Despite this and many other delicious highlights in “The Hungry Caterpillar,” the episode doesn’t make much progress in their cat-and-mouse game and even presses reset by placing Villanelle back with her old handler Konstantin (Kim Bodnia). Compared to Season 1’s third episode, which catapulted the series forward by changing the stakes,...

“Killing Eve” only has one episode left this season, not that you’d know by what goes down in Sunday’s episode. In the loaded installment, allegiances shift to the point where viewers have no idea whom to trust anymore, and the international assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer) manages to not only break out prison, but also add to her body count, and make one very dangerous enemy.
In the process, much is revealed about the interiority of the comely killer, while her pursuer Eve (Sandra Oh) is still gathering information. One big breakthrough, however, could give her leverage in next week’s finale.

‘Killing Eve’ Teaser: Sandra Oh Gets Inside the Mind of a Murderer in Thriller from ‘Fleabag’ Writer
What kind of monster wastes perfectly good ice cream? Apparently, a contract killer who doesn’t appreciate it when people call her a psychopath. That’s probably not the biggest takeaway from this first teaser for “Killing Eve,” the latest BBC America series, but it’s a pretty clear way to show that Villanelle (Jodie Comer) means business.
Aside from the dessert shop table flipping, Sandra Oh stars as Eve, an Mi-5 officer whose desire to work outside the confines of her security job brings her on Villanelle’s trail. A weaponized hairpiece and some shattered phone booth glass later, it looks like they’ll eventually meet up. But how? Where? Why?
One person with all the answers is writer (and “Fleabag” star) Phoebe Waller-Bridge, whose eight-episode script adapts Luke Jennings’ “Codename Villanelle” series of novels. In addition to Oh and Comer, the series co-stars Fiona Shaw, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, David Haig,...

Killing Eve may well be the one show to watch in 2018.
It stars Sandra Oh (Grey's Anatomy) and Jodie Comer (The White Princess).
In short, the show will have one of the most talented casts around, but what's it about?
The series focuses on Eve, an Mi-5 officer who is less than enthused about the trajectory her life has taken.
She may have the money, but she most certainly does not have the happiness. Her ultimate career goal is to become a spy, but will she ever get there?
Enter Villanelle, a merciless killer who loves the fact that her job comes with a lot of benefits.
Eve is tasked with hunting down Villanelle, but there are a lot of twists in the tale, and the two women's game of cat-and-mouse will find them racing across Europe.

Premiering Sunday, April 8 at 8/7c and adapted by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) from Luke Jennings’ novellas, Killing Eve centers on two women: Eve, a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade MI5 officer whose desk job doesn’t fulfill her fantasies of being a spy, and Villanelle (The White Princess‘ Jodie Comer), a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her.
