- He served as State Campaign Chair of Louisiana for US Senator Mike Gravel in the 2008 presidential election.
- He lived in a flat above the Pirate's Alley bar in New Orleans French Quarter until Hurricane Katrina. He can be seen in the second episode of the 2007 television series Cobb's Webb (2007) in the Jackson Square scene. The bar featured in this episode and referred to as the Alibi is actually the Pirate's Alley bar at Jackson Square, and at the time of filming he was living above the real Alibi located on Iberville Steet.

- The "Bigfoot Body" featured in Anatomy of a Bigfoot Hoax (2011) wasn't examined by media until 2016 when he, with the approval of C. Thomas Biscardi, placed it on exhibit at the Bell County Historical Society Museum in Middlesboro KY, and allowed the Lexington Herald-Leader access.
