- Writer
Zach Bakken was born in Casper, Wyoming on October 25th, 2000. His pursuit of filmmaking arose through his passion for storytelling, enamored by the appeal of entertaining, mystifying and transporting those around him. At age 14, Zach produced his first amateur short film "Tomorrow" (2015) along with frequent collaborators Cam Duncan and Ethan Nelson. After a brief hiatus, Zach would reunite with Duncan and Nelson to produce his second amateur short film "A John Hughes Jawn" (2021) which premiered at the Summer of Shorts Film Festival in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Stemming from the success of his two previous shorts, Zach would take his career to the next level and produce his first professional short film "Welcome to Hollywood" (2022), again partnering with Duncan and Nelson, and first time collaborator Jamal Page. This award winning short would go on to circulate among film festivals for almost a year before being released publicly in the Summer of 2023.
His sophomore outing as a professional producer, "How's Your Day Going?", was shot in Northern Colorado and is slated to release in late 2023. Although credited as a producer on most projects, Zach performs many roles on and off set and has extensive experience writing and editing.
