(Warning: This post contains major spoilers for the “Timeless” series finale.)
Final mission accomplished, Time Team.
“The Miracle of Christmas,” the 2-part series finale of NBC’s “Timeless,” aired tonight, giving Clockblockers the early Christmas gift of a conclusion to the series, which was officially canceled for the second time in June and promised this closer the following month, when studio Sony Pictures TV struck a deal with the network to produce the special.
The wild ride through time saw Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Wyatt (Matt Lanter), and Jiya (Claudia Doumit) manage to use the Lifeboat to save Rufus (Malcolm Barrett), Flynn (Goran Visnjic) sacrifice himself so the group would be sure to accomplish their task, the defeat of Rittenhouse, and a future where Jiya and Rufus and Wyatt and Lucy are happily paired off — and there are even a few kiddos!

With Timeless‘ two-hour series finale fast approaching (though not fast enough, frankly), we decided to cut to the chase and seek out intel on its very final scene.
Season 2 of the NBC drama ended last May with a doozy of a cliffhanger: Future versions of Lucy and Wyatt arrived in the present-day bunker with a potential plan to save their dead teammate Rufus. NBC’s decision not to renew the series for Season 3 threatened to keep Rufus’ fate forever in flux, but closure was ultimately offered in the form of a double-episode finale event, airing Thursday, Dec. 20 at 8/7c.

It’s the beginning of the end for NBC’s Timeless. The cast and crew on Friday shared the first images from the table read for the series’ two-hour wrap-up movie, which is slated to air in December.
The two-part finale — which NBC previously promised will give “closure to the globetrotting series” — reunites cast members Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Višnjić, Paterson Joseph, Annie Wersching and Claudia Doumit. And worry not about Agent Christopher. Sakina Jaffrey, who was absent at Friday’s table read, tweeted that she will join the production on Saturday. We can only assume the...

Timeless will change history once more with NBC set to air a special two-hour finale to wrap up the time travel tale.
Timeless defied cancellation one last time as NBC announced that it would bring back the fan favorite time travel show for a two-hour movie, which serves as the series finale and ties up loose ends that were left dangling at the end of season two. Although the show will not live on as a weekly episodic program, this news will bring closure to fans who rallied hard to save the canceled series during San Diego Comic-Con, when an airplane flew a #SaveTimeless banner paid for by a crowdfunding campaign.
In a joint statement with fellow showrunner, Shawn Ryan, Kripke explained, “While we wish we could’ve made another dozen seasons of Timeless, this is the next best thing. We’re thrilled to take...
