Kyla Gray was born in Pusan, South Korea. She was adopted into an Irish-Italian family when she was 3 months old and grew up as the youngest of 4 children in New Jersey. Because of her unique upbringing, she experienced some adversity growing up; but, instead of letting it define who she was, Kyla found strength in understanding that being different is a gift.
At an early age Kyla was involved in gymnastics, acting, singing and dancing. She signed with a talent manager in New York City in 2001 and landed a Disney/Hallmark commercial that aired nationally. Kyla made the decision in 2004 to take a break from acting so she could focus on school. She went on to attend Rutgers University and graduated with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Public Health.
A few years after graduating, she decided to start modeling. Kyla's philosophy is that models contribute more than just fashion to the world: they are ambassadors of culture too. She signed with a modeling agency in 2013, to further pursue her dreams of inspiring women to embrace what makes them different.
