An uncanny understanding of character dynamics and superior cast chemistry have made Stranger Things the defining science fiction drama of the last decade. Although fans love the special effects and evil enemies omnipresent in the series, showrunners the Duffer brothers have always grounded the story in character development. Mike’s (Finn Wolfhard) and Will’s (Noah Schnapp) potential romance, Eleven’s (Millie Bobby Brown) backstory as a lab rat, and Hopper’s quest for fatherhood have all amalgamated into an irresistible mix of plotting that feels novelistic and addicting for viewers.

Linda Hamilton has been one of the trailblazers who changed the industry’s stereotypical portrayal of women in film. Actresses like Sigourney Weaver and Hamilton showed that women can be total badasses and can hold themselves against danger. Hamilton’s role as Sarah Connor in The Terminator series has been the most popular role of her career.

However, that tough and incredible role became a detriment to her career as she got typecast in similar roles and was not getting diverse projects. The actress recently revealed that she was tired of being tough on camera, and landing a meaningful part in Stranger Things prevented her from taking a retirement from acting.

After being delayed several months by the writers strike and the actors strike, season 5 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things finally went into production at the start of the year and is now three months into its twelve month shooting schedule… but in the midst of filming, Finn Wolfhard is also doing the press rounds to promote the Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, which is set to reach theatres on March 22nd. An interview with The Hollywood Reporter was part of his press tour, and during that conversation, Wolfhard was asked about the ongoing production of Stranger Things season 5, which will also be the final season of the show. Finn Wolfhard recently opened up about how he wasn’t exactly the most skilled actor during his early days on Stranger Things — and understandably so, considering he was 12.
During an appearance on Hot Ones, the actor explained he doesn’t watch things from early in the show all that much, but when he does he realizes something.
“I didn’t know what I was doing back then and like, in a lot of ways I think that really helped me and now, like, as you get older you get so much more, like, kind of like self-obsessed,” he said. “You get a little more in your head…and I feel like I learned so much more obviously since then but I wish I had a little bit of that naivete.”
Woflhard portrays main character Mike Wheeler on Netflix’s hit sci-fi series. He is the center of his friend’s group.

While “Stranger Things” Season 5 star Linda Hamilton may be preparing to venture into Hawkins, Ind. — hopefully by blasting some of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” on her Walkman — she will not be watching the final season despite being a fan of the 80s-infused, “Dungeons and Dragons”-inspired Netflix drama show.
In an interview with Us Weekly!, the actor shared that while she’s “relished” every season of the show, being cast in its final season has “ruined” the experience of watching it.
“When you buy into something, you don’t see yourself in it. So, I think it ruined the show for me. I never watch [a project] once I’m in something,” Hamilton explained. “It would completely take me out of the reality of it to see myself in there. So, I won’t be watching [Season 5].”

Stranger Things Season 5 is officially filming, and although it will likely be months before fans get any official first looks, one of the stars recently commented on one aspect of the show that should be changed. Appearing at Mega Con Orlando, Gaten Matarazzo, who plays the loveable Dustin in the Netflix hit, got candid when a fan asked him about any changes he’d make to the show. “It might sound messed up but we should kill more people,” the actor said, according to Cbr. “This show would be so much better if the stakes were much higher, like at any moment any of these kids can kick it. Despite killing off Barb (Shannon Purser) and Benny (Chris Sullivan) in Season 1, every other character that has died since has been among the newer additions. Whether it...

But earlier this month, they started filming, and hopefully, we will get...

One of the new characters introduced in season 4 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things was Argyle, a pothead delivery boy for Surfer Boy Pizza who helps some of the returning characters get from California back to their hometown of Hawkins, Indiana. But if you were hoping to see actor Eduardo Franco reprise the role of Argyle in Stranger Things season 5, which will be the final season of the show… well, it sounds like you’re in for disappointment. During an interview on the Steve Varley YouTube channel, Franco said it doesn’t look like he’ll be back for the new season.
Varley told Franco that fans got concerned when they saw he was absent from the cast picture Netflix released to celebrate the start of production on Stranger Things season 5, saying, “(Fans are) they’re thinking you’re not in the season. Can you give us hopes that you are?...

News has been slowly coming out about the next season of Stranger Things, which has now entered into production this week after a very long wait with the show impacted greatly by the strikes. In a new interview with the YouTube channel Steve Varley, actor Eduardo Franco has said he’s not currently involved in the fifth season likely ruling out the return of Argyle.
As a quick refresher, Argyle was introduced in season 4 following the Byers’ move to California and serves as Jonathan’s best friend throughout the series. The character is best known for his long hair and his job as a pizza delivery boy for Surfer Boy Pizza. He was an excellent and comedic addition to last season and quickly became a fan favorite.
The actor was interviewed for his recent role on Self-Reliance, which has been streaming on Hulu since January 3rd.

It's been over a year and a half since "Stranger Things" season 4 arrived on Netflix, and fans have been eagerly anticipating the return of the hit sci-fi series. Plus, there's a bit of a ticking clock on the series, since the teenage cast members, who were just kids when the show began back in 2016, are aging more everyday and don't exactly look like they belong in high school anymore. Thankfully, with the Hollywood strikes resolved and a new year upon us, 2024 is the year that "Stranger Things" goes back into production.
Netflix has officially announced that production has begun on "Stranger Things" season 5. The return of the series was celebrated with an official cast photo showing all the primary characters who will be returning, all seated with series creators Matt & Ross Duffer, including Jamie Campbell Bower as last season's villain Vecna, formerly Henry Creel. But they likely aren't going to...

After a long delay, Netflix’s Stranger Things is back in production for its fifth and final season. More details here.
All good things must come to an end and so does Stranger Things, one of the flagship shows on Netflix that hasn’t been cancelled after one season.
Season four was released in 2022 and we’ve known for a while that season five would conclude the beloved show but the final season has faced many obstacles, not in the least the writers and actors’ strikes.
Netflix has confirmed today (8th January) that Stranger Things is back in production and shared a lovely snap of the whole cast together. There’s no official word on when season five would debut on Netflix but we can safely assume it won’t be this year. Bummer.

The fifth and final season of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things was just about to start filming when the writers strike hit back in May. A couple months into that strike, the Screen Actors Guild also went on strike – and while the writers strike ended in September, the actors strike continued on into November. Following the six month delay, Netflix decided to wait out the holidays before getting Stranger Things season 5 rolling… but now they have officially confirmed that production is finally underway! They celebrated the start of production by unveiling of a behind-the-scenes image of the cast with series creators The Duffer Brothers, and you can check out that image at the bottom of this article.

When we last reported on the final season of Netflix’s smash hit series “Stranger Things,” production was targeting a start date of January 8, 2024. They met their target date; Netflix announced this morning that “Stranger Things 5” has officially begun production.
Netflix shared a behind the scenes image of the assembled cast accompanying the announcement, below.
“Stranger Things 5” will be the Final season of Netflix‘s hit series, and Netflix recently announced during their Tudum event that Terminator icon Linda Hamilton will star.
The director behind last year’s Hulu hit Prey, Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) is headed to the Upside Down to direct an episode of “Stranger Things 5,” we also learned.
The Season 4 finale set the stage for a final season that will bring the action entirely back to Hawkins, with the rift between Hawkins and the Upside Down now completely opened up by the monster behind it all, Vecna.

When Is Stranger Things Season 5 Coming? Well, Stranger Things Season 5 marks the end of the thrilling story created by the Duffer Brothers. It’s the last chapter in the adventures of characters like Eleven and Will in the horror town of Hawkins. In the previous season’s conclusion, our heroes faced Vecna, leading to another dangerous situation in Hawkins.
But there’s still one crucial part of the story left to unfold. Season 5 will wrap up Eleven’s battle against Vecna and the Upside Down, bringing closure to their struggles.
Right from the beginning, the Duffer Brothers had a grand plan for Stranger Things, envisioning a multi-season narrative even before introducing Eleven, Hawkins, or the eerie Upside Down to Netflix viewers in 2016.
Throughout the series, our heroes have faced immense challenges, losing loved ones while repeatedly saving the world. However, with each victory, the Upside Down evolves, creating new horrors.

Perhaps no single theatrical image sums up Broadway’s 2023 more effectively than Jessica Chastain’s Nora leaving her dreary, unfulfilled doll house life to exit directly into the unlimited possibilities of an honest-to-god New York City street.
Unless maybe it’s that huge tree that sprouts up smack dab in the middle of an abandoned Southern plantation home after the Appropriate cast has left the stage, a gut-punch reminder that the sins of a nation’s past don’t just wither away because we don’t want to see them.

This post contains spoilers for "Please Don't Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain."
The comedy trio known as Please Don't Destroy has been making a splash at "Saturday Night Live" for the past couple years. Creating fast-paced, absurd, pre-recorded sketches starring themselves, as well as being part of the writing staff, the trio has made a quite name for themselves. Last weekend, their first movie debuted on Peacock, "Please Don't Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain," and it's the kind of comedy that we wish could have been given a theatrical release in order to have that communal experience of laughing out loud with a crowd. But at least it's getting a chance to find an audience. Plus, director Paul Briganti is used to people watching his stuff at home anyway.
Briganti worked at "SNL" for six years before departing the series late in 2021, just as Please Don't Destroy had joined the series.

Briganti worked at "SNL" for six years before departing the series late in 2021, just as Please Don't Destroy had joined the series.

If you’re wondering about the ungainly title of the new comedy film premiering on Peacock, then you’re probably not a sketch comedy aficionado or regular Saturday Night Live viewer. The first part of Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain refers to the comedy group consisting of 20-somethings Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy, whose absurdist videos have been a regular feature on SNL for the past couple of years. The second part of the title calls to mind the sort of old-fashioned adventure movies geared toward kids that have inspired this ramshackle spoof reminding you that sketch comedy is best appreciated in small doses. For proof, look no further than such misfires as Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy, It’s Pat, MacGruber and, well, you get the idea.
