- Uri Gov is an Israeli television and theater actor. In addition, he is a sign language (ISL) instructor for the theater.
Gov was born and raised in Tel Aviv. His mother, Neta, is a painter and a photographer, his father, Michael, is an arts events producer who, among other things, has produced for years the Red Sea Jazz Festival in Eilat, Le Biennale Di Venezia for arts and architecture and also dance companies. His older brother is an artist and a curator based in Berlin, Germany, and his twin sister is involved in visual arts, product design and graphics. His uncle is the singer and actor Gidi Gov.
At the age of 6 Gov started acting studies at Campus Arison for Arts in Tel Aviv and then at Ironi Aleph High School for Arts. When he turned 18 Gov worked as a kindergarten teacher for deaf children, where he also studied the Israeli Sign Language. He graduated 3 years of acting studies at "Seminar Hakibbutzim College for Performing Arts" (2014-2017). He worked as a sign language instructor for the theater at "Habima Theater" and at the "Library Theater" and also worked as a dialect coach on the set of the successful Israeli television series "Zaguri Empire". On those years Gov acted in many plays at Tmuna theater, The Cube Theater, Acco Theater Festival and between the years 2018-2020 he acted in the assemble of Haifa Theater.
In April 2020, he started acting in the successful television series "Palmah" (2020-2022), in which he played the character of Lawrence Montgomery, the son of General Bernard Law Montgomery.
