Another child of the Big Three is on the way in “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.” The Disney+ series has found its Thalia for Season 2 in Tamara Smart.
The “Resident Evil” star will portray the daughter of Zeus in the second season of the show, which is, of course, based on “The Sea of Monsters,” the second book in Rick Riordan’s fantasy series.
“Thalia Grace is one of the most important characters in the Percy Jackson universe, so the right casting was critical,” Riordan said in a Monday statement. “Thalia is a powerful warrior, a fiercely loyal friend and a demigod rebel with a very ‘punk’/‘rage-against-the-machine’ sensibility.”
He continued, “As soon as we saw Tamara Smart play this role, we knew we had found our daughter of Zeus. She was, no pun intended, electric. Tamara puts the ‘grace’ in Thalia Grace!”

Season two of Percy Jackson and the Olympians has cast another important role.
Tamara Smart (Netflix’s Resident Evil) is joining the series based on author Rick Riordan’s Greek mythology-laden novels as Thalia Grace, the demigod daughter of Zeus. She’ll recur in season two, which is in production and slated for a 2025 premiere.
Smart is the latest addition to the season two cast. Daniel Diemer, who plays Tyson the cyclops, will be a series regular alongside Walker Scobell (Percy), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth), Aryan Simhadri (Grover), Charlie Bushnell (Luke) and Dior Goodjohn (Clarisse). Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal and Margaret Cho will have guest roles as the Gray Sisters.
In Riordan’s novels, Thalia is a friend of Annabeth and Luke who sacrifices herself so they can reach Camp Half-Blood safely. Zeus intervenes to stop Thalia from dying, turning her into a tree that anchors the protective veil around the camp.

It’s actually funny watching everyone trip all over themselves in their attempts to deter Dwight Manfredi on Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 2.
Dwight, the mobster with a heart of gold, goes about his business, being kind and friendly even when stabbing so-called friends in the back, and it seems to scare the bejesus out of the competition.
Whether Cal Thresher enlists a US Attorney to handle Dwight’s court case personally or Chickie joins forces with Bill Bevilaqua, people are moving mountains to stop Dwight’s success.
(Brian Douglas/Paramount+)
And make no bones about it. Dwight Manfredi is a success.
Maybe the way Dwight presents himself to the world gets so many others in a snit.
He is a nice guy. He’s made terrible decisions and continues on the wrong path, but he’s not a jerk. So many successful people are jerks that it stands out.
His demeanor catches people off guard.
